    CF Tank what and where?

$5 for a fill is inexpensive and I can see why it would make the bottle option more attractive. The GX CS2 does not use oil, it uses grease. So it's thicker and moves less. But I have seen a little discoloration of the absorbent filter it has, like the one that came with my Yong Heng, so...

The Stoeger MX1 Bullsharks are here

My P35-177 is wildly inaccurate with 10 grain knockouts but seems to like 12.5 grain NSA slugs. It's the first time one of my SPA guns has shot a slug decently. I haven't shot enough with them to know if they are just decent or pretty accurate in that gun. I shortened the hammer spring and...

    CF Tank what and where?

Why do you want a tank? I have an expired Scott I fill myself with my Yong Heng and I like the speed and lack of noise for a fill. But I recently got a GX CS2 and a typical gun fill takes 3 minutes and is quiet enough you could stand next to it and have a conversation. I think it is a totally...

ALL your OPTIONS for Filling a PCP Airgun (Filters/Fill Stations/12V Compressors/Hand Pumps)

I like Nate's videos too and I am not in the market for a compressor that costs over $500. I bet they are nicer (like more expensive airguns) but my Yong Heng fills my SCBA bottle just fine and has for 4 years now (it has had only Nuvair oil since day one). More recently I bought a GX CS2 and...

    what scope would you recommend?

I also believe the Hawke Vantage line is a great place to go for an inexpensive scope that works well. I have a 2-7 on my Prod. It replaced a Bug Buster that would not hold zero. UTG gave me a return number and then disappeared. So I was out the price of the scope and the return shipping. I...

    N/A The Cheap Seats

I'm no Ron Robinson but I enjoy being competitive in the 30 yard challenge with my under $500 bullpups. There are some similarly prices rifles competing too but most seem to be over $1000 and even a few Thomas rifles that I understand are several thousand dollars. With your record, you could...

    N/A The Cheap Seats

I got a 25 caliber plastic stock Avenger when they were still $300. I do not shoot it a lot but that is because it is so LONG. My next airgun was a bullpup and I discovered I really prefer them. But I still pull the Avenger out a few times a year. It has a great set of features for the price...

Air Venturi .25 Cal Pellet Recommendations for Avenge-x?

I do not have an Avenge X, I have the original Avenger in 25 caliber. But it likes JSB or FX 25.39 pellets. I have not shot it nearly as much as my bullpups but I don't think it likes the heavier JSBs or any H&Ns. You may want to review reviews of the Avenge X in 25, some reviewers test...

    How much charge

While I do not leave my guns cocked while in storage I do often store magazines when full of pellets. Storing the magazines full does leave a spring stressed for the period of storage. So if I wanted to be consistent perhaps I should not do that either. But magazines are relatively...

New Forum Member - Air Rifle choice suggestions

Seneca dragonfly is a pump up that gets good reviews but is a little over $200. To me, pump ups and especially pcps, are easier to shoot accurately.

    Make some wind flags

Mine are a lot like BBGunn's. I use old political yard signs for the flat piece for the back and a round ball painted half red for the other end (I got the styrofoam balls from Hobby Lobby). I have a small wood block for the pivot and short pieces of steel to connect these pieces. I do not...

    How much charge

I don't usually refill the gun when I am done with it for the day. No special reason, my practice is to fill it as I am getting ready to shoot. Sometimes, especially the 177 has enough air without a refill. I do not leave the hammer cocked, however, nor do I leave a pellet or slug in the...

    Artemis P15 Owners?

I get about 75 shots on my P35-177, maybe more. It is tuned to about 18 fpe. The spring was a bit stout so I shortened it but I should have just made clearance for the hammer spring adjuster to stick out a bit. I think the reg came set 15-20 bar lower than the 22 and 25.

Filter to separate rubber mulch from pellets

I wouldn't throw it all away but if you have a safe way to dispose of lead throwing away the pellets and small debris would speed things up a lot. Separating the good pieces of mulch from the little stuff only took maybe 15 minutes and you loose nearly no volume.

A shout out to All Lefties...

I have left handed Savage bolt actions, a side by side shotgun, a Mossberg shotgun with tang safety (empties go past my face but I don't notice them) and a left handed flintlock. So when I started shooting airguns I was firmly convinced to only buy guns I can shoot comfortably. It's fine with...

    30-Yard Challenge

Well this time I got a couple more points. A 193 11X still with my P35-177 with vector 32X scope shooting H&N Baracuda FTs at 905 fps (measured today, estimated previously). Please use this one in the spreadsheet unless my slow climb continues. I took more warmup shots, 5, but may still need...

    Squirrel hunting

I'll make my standard recommendation but I'll try and be brief. My P35s in 177, 22, and 25 are all great squirrel killers. Stoeger Bullshark is almost exactly the same gun. They have not been problematic for me and all three are plenty accurate enough for squirrels. For shooting in my yard...

    Artemis P15 Owners?

I have not compared parts of my 177, 22, and 25 P35s to see if they are the same. My impression is that they are. And mostly the same as the P15 from what I read. You'd have to really, really want a P15 and not a P35 or Bullshark to rebarrel a 25 caliber P15 to 177, however. Why not just buy...

    N/A 1k budget. First PCP

I've killed 24 squirrels with my P35-177. I also have P35s in 22 and 25 and I like them but I think the 177 is best for backyard use because the pellets do not carry nearly as far. Still they can go about 400 yards if aimed up so you need to be careful but you need to be even more careful with...

A shout out to All Lefties...

I only shoot with my left hand because I am left eye dominant. Everything else I use my right hand if I can. My Caiman isn't bad but the mechanism noise is worse due to the magazine location. My P35s are great to shoot left handed because I want right hand cocking. Magazine is flush and open...
