Fishing for compressor advice / knowledge

Don't assume you'd hear the leak, it took me a while to find mine on my 032. I'd think I heard it when running then nothing. It was the 0-ring on the back side of the right hand filter tower.

The Buzzards/Vultures have to eat, I consider it a civic duty. There is a pair of them in the area, they hear the dinner bell.

When I was using my Savage A17, they didn't have the guts to run away. One I barely nicked at 100 yards in the back of the neck, it was DRT from the shockwave.

I did my research when I started them and went with the grabber for the disease reason. Ask for and you shall receive....Pete my faithful retriever, hard to keep trained but he's a good guy.

That is after we removed the body armor, two 26 gr slugs with a muzzle velocity of 940 and it still managed to move 15'. The slugs let you know it's been smacked, but they keep going. According to Strelok Pro it's 45# smacking them at that distance. And NO I'm not playing with head shots, not...

    Largest drop with a Notos

I've tried to find the location of their lungs, I'm spending a fortune getting rid of the critters here, time to get a touch more violent. BUT I too am very leery of them spraying. If it wasn't for my dog I mostly wouldn't care.

Went to my permission today at 0900 with my faithful retriever Pete, Phil met us there. Cool/cold overcast with the sun TRYING to peek through. Got sighted in at 75 yards, for a change everything lined up. Saw one at 110 yards but wasn't a safe shot, people working on the road. Saw one...

    Ground squirrel infestation!

I have a grabber with spikes to pick ours up and lay them out for the buzzards. Here is a pic of the ONE we found today, darn thing was trying cram its way into a very small burrow after being shot, twice 50yards* with my Tequila .22, off hand**** ****** some of the above addition is a flat...

    Ground squirrel infestation!

That is a good idea, they are disease carrying vermin. I'm going out to my permission but it's absolutely nothing like Blue Dog's, the best I ever did was 18, of course it's only a few acres. Somewhere on the Air Tanks Plus website they have a absolutely great ground squirrel setup a nice...

    100 yards and beyond…?

I didn't have a choice, ok I did have a choice, stop splatting ground squirrels or spend a modest fortune on airguns. Darn canine on premises didn't like the bang from my A17. Then I had to learn to shoot 50 yards for MOS (Minute of Squirrel) then out to 125 yards, again zero choice, wide open...

FX FX Maverick Compact .30 Cal - First shots review

You 'MAY' have to give them a bit of a LIGHT sanding but, they do wear in after a few goes, so patience. Forgot to mention I use silicon 0-rings on the FX magazines with a touch of superglue.

    AEA/JTS Pellets and Fouling

I haven't experienced any fouling but then I'm not looking for it. As for saying AEA/JTS. IMHO they are not the same, doing a consecutive 10 shot string of both the AEA's group noticeable better. again MHO

BUT we generally have nice weather so we can shoot more. I have a dream and it doesn't involve being blue.

Other Just how much must I pay for "Accuracy" in a PCP gun?

I keep them in a case because my garage is a f'n mess. I take them out of the case in the garage, and haul them outside, sometimes that that lovely carrying handle they call a scope, or by the barrel, or by the grip, and usually I bump the barrel. The POI 'issue' isn't 'widely reported' those...

N/A Help on selecting first air rifle

Quiet isn't a real issue, we can have moderators. PCP's are a whole different breed from PR, think of them like trying to shoot 1 moa at 1,000 yards with a 5.56, ok cancel that I've seen it done but it's not easy. Your budget will get you in the door, it's all down the Rabbit Hole® from...

Aea 30.2 and 49.2 long range slugs .25

30.2gr .087 at 963fps 63º the 49.2 is the same. Measured with my FX True Ballistic at 25 yards. Did it a bunch of times and days, to verify, comes up the same every time..

    N/A Matt Dubber

Next thing is to tune the people to shoot like Matt. OK, .22 boat tail slugs, I can't get the volume up right now but were they about 50 grains? Takes a heck of a lot of air to get them moving, but he had gravity working with him. Not to discount the shot but every little detail counts.

Other Just how much must I pay for "Accuracy" in a PCP gun?

Firstly, welcome to the Rabbit Hole®. If you are expecting one ragged hole at 50 yards, then I doubt you'll find anything that will do it, close but you know the thing about horseshoes and hand grenades. Do yourself a favor and get some AEA pellets, I really should get the franchise for them...

FX FX Maverick Compact .30 Cal - First shots review

Here's the story, I bought a .25 sniper, pre-destroyed, officially a POS, name something wrong and it was there, first owner was an idiot. I converted it to a .22 compact, my experimental gun. I'm 85% sure I never changed out the hammer, old and memory are two things that don't go together...
