will gx cs4i fill a 9l scba tank

I believe GX recommends the CS4 up to 6.8 liter and the CS5 above that. There is a one and a two cylinder CS5. It would be nice to know whether it is ever money well spent to go "above" one of the GX pumps. The temperature test Target Forge did on the CS2 was impressive - never got to 90 F in...

FX How to get higher velocity??

I would first go back to the settings you used before you made the changes (regulator and hammer spring). Just adding the bigger plenum should add fps with no other changes. I presume the power block means bigger internal passages and those two would add fps with no other changes. If that...

Most variety of diameters only in .22 - why is that? And why undersized?

I'm sure it makes a difference sometimes but my P35-22 shoots both diameters of it's favorite pellet, H&N Baracuda Match, equally well. I thought it liked one of them better after shooting a tiny group with it. But later I got the other head size by mistake and decided to just shoot them. One...

    Leading In A Barrel

I don't have a specific sequence to suggest but I would let your gun tell you what it wants. You probably don't care as much but when you switch from your good pellets to plinking pellets you could shoot some groups to see if the accuracy is "normal". Then do the same when switching back to...

    Stoeger Messing with my Bullshark

Where did you find a heavier spring Neu? I have a 8mm×60x1.2 in my P35-177. I got it from Aliexpress. The stock spring is 8.5x55x1.2. The wire in the stock spring may be a little less than 1.2mm. The 60mmx8mm binds a little on the post of the adjustment screw. It works. I also tried a...

Battery power for my GX CS2

Nice setup, especially testing a tune or ammo. I still like the speed of the bottle fills but it only fills to 250 bar 10-12 times and then needs a noisy refill from the YH. I think I will mainly refill from the bottle at home but it's nice to have both options.

CS4 arrived, my first pcp compressor.

I haven't shot a Hueben but the reviews indicate it is pretty quiet. May not be audible if the tractor is running. It's shroud is baffled. My Avenger is my only airgun that didn't have reasonably effective baffles in the shroud. And if you decide to add a moderator no tax stamp or permit is...

Battery power for my GX CS2

BSJ, can you power the GX compressor with a Makita battery? Thanks for the other information. I was just repeating what I saw in reviews so I am not surprised it is not totally accurate. I thought some of you might appreciate a little data. I used the 6 amp hour again a few minutes ago and...

    Topping off at high pressure.

I would not suggest anybody start their compressor with the bleed valve closed but actually on a gun fill or any situation where there is no pressure in the line, it isn't going to hurt anything by closing the bleed valve before startup. The goal is for the compressor to not see any pressure at...

    Social Section???

I am totally OK with only limited opportunities for non airgun threads. I would anticipate it would require a lot of moderator attention and would not enhance my and many others experience.

    Hunting safety in populated areas

I don't think there are a lot of issues but I don't want to be part of one. I also don't know how many issues it will take before there are more rules limiting what we can do with our airguns. If you only shoot at things on the ground I think you are pretty safe regardless of the projectile...

    Topping off at high pressure.

The gun's one way valve is the key. I added one at the inlet to my "extra" moisture filter for my Yong Hang. That way I can open the valve on my bottle right after starting the compressor and I know I am not hurting my compressor. No more waiting for compressor pressure to build before...

CS4 arrived, my first pcp compressor.

Taipans are reported to have about the nicest trigger of any airgun and great accuracy. I hessitate to get one because they are somewhat heavy. Almost all PCPs work by having a hammer hit a valve to release the air. Huebens use a totally different system. The trigger opens a valve if I...

CS4 arrived, my first pcp compressor.

You got CD4 and a CS5? Dual cylinder? Seems like you have air. The only drawback I've seen on the Hueben is it basically can't be decocked and it is not simple or quick to take pellets or slugs out of integral magazine. But it seems like a powerful and innovative airgun. There is a pistol...

I jumped in with both feet, now what?

With a SCBA tank you need a fill set. Sometimes they come together. And at least a YH or GX CS4 compressor. I have the space but not everybody seems to. The GX CS2 is a complete setup and still handy if you later get a bottle and compressor to fill it. 15 lbs which is lighter than my bottle...

    Sunday Amazon delivery! Charles

I often get Sunday delivery. Sometimes it comes via USPS. That seems odd since USPS doesn't deliver mail on Sunday.

Battery power for my GX CS2

I think I've used the 6 amp hour for 3 refills of one of my P35s and it's voltage while not connected to a load is still over 18V but under 19V so I plan to use it one more time - but I think one more refill will drive it below 18V resting. I'll also keep an eye on running voltage which I'd...

I jumped in with both feet, now what?

I recently bought a GX CS2 from the GX website for $250 delivered. I was surprised at how well it works. Very portable which is what I wanted for my second compressor (I've had a Yong Heng for 4 years and it works fine). The YH fills my expired fireman's Scott bottle. I still like my bottle...

    Hunting safety in populated areas

I've noticed that the lady iguana shooter that makes a lot of videos comments now on changing shooting position to get a safe backstop. Maybe others do too and just don't mention it. She also reduces the power of her Brococks on close shots. It's something we all should be careful about. We...
