Spray with plastidip works great. I sprayed 3 cans of that stuff on my plano 36", still holding up great. But getting replacement foam for the apache will be a challenge, though I'm looking into the Magpul DAKA Grid Gun Case Organizer Foam systems now, more reusable.

Definitely needs to test more ammo type. I believe AOA only test at their indoor 20 yard range, which is not enough distance to see best ammo for the rifle. The speed of the pellets matters as well, if too fast it'll start to spiral which changes the point of impact each time. Looking at your 25...

I just got a response from Taipan regarding the barrel band. The barrel band is included for middle east dealers. In middle east they prefer the band because of extreme high temperatures. Taipan tested it with and without the band, it gun is more accurate without the band.

There is one on ebay but it's really ugly. The placement kills the flow of the design of the gun. Though I don't know what where else one would mount one. Ebay Magazine
