You could cold blue it, but it would require a lot of work, I've done my 766 barrel in the past. If you can afford it the real hot bluing process is the way to go. That's your call on what you want out of it.

Shot a few groups today with the HW30 at 20 yards, pin point with JSB 7.87's. The older HW98 still in parts on the bench, it will get oring sealed as well. I made another test cap today, and I think I've found the best oring squeeze dimensions. I removed the brass screw cups from the stock and...

Sucks, but a reality of winter. It will take a lot of work to get back to normal, but you'll get there.
