Shooting that well with damaged rifling at the muzzle is impressive. Meaning there is potential greatness left on the table to leave it as is. Or to say it differently, it is true some barrels shoot quite well despite machining defects. It is also true these same barrels shoot better still...

All the way in means maximum hammer spring tension, which is very likely causing the gun to waste air...meaning the reason shot count is poor.
