Beeman Breaking in the R1 .20

That’s a nice one! The early R9’s were the best looking ones they made. Before the laser etching and questionable stock designs.

    N/A Howa 55G - Help needed

I think there was one for sale on eBay recently that was from Beemans personal collection. I believe these were considered one of, if not the finest CO2 guns ever made.

HW/Weihrauch Is This the HW30s’ Biggest Weakness?

The old style ones are solid as a rock. But you only get one notch.

    Beeman I couldn't resist 🤪(Update it's finally here)

That’s a beauty congrats! I can only imagine the state of the grease inside there.

Any sign of this showing up? Hopefully it has arrived by now🤔

    Tuning Thrust bearing

My R1 with stock internals definitely had spring torque. The slip washer was bent (due to the splines/feet on the spring guide) which I am sure contributed to this

    Legal shipping to Chicago

For some reason the geniuses at eBay don’t understand this. Have to have my airguns shipped to my place in Wisconsin.

    Legal shipping to Chicago

I tried bidding on an R7 on eBay the other week and was informed it is not legal to ship airguns to Illinois. What a crock of sh*t this is.

What springer did you shoot today?

that’s pretty cool. I saw quite a few Bulls and Hawks games at the old Chicago stadium. Once sat behind Jim Belushi and John Candy at a Hawks game there. Good times

N/A What is considered the “best”

Yeah that’s a damn fine piece of equipment. But as mentioned previously, this question of what is the best is kind of silly. I am sure there are Whiscomb (sp?) owners that believe theirs are the best springers designed. “The best” depends on what you are looking for; Power, Accuracy...

    HW/Weihrauch HW30 Vortek Tuning Question

Thanks. I’ll stick with the tried and true stuff. I probably have a lifetime supply from Maccari

    Beeman I couldn't resist 🤪(Update it's finally here)

Nice score! A true classic! I have a Santa Rosa R1 .20 standard length. With a JM “Mongoose 80” kit. To say it is awesome is an understatement. I also have a JM 12 ft/lb spring I put in for a for a little while. But for a gun this size, I really like keeping it at full power. Especially...

    HW/Weihrauch HW30 Vortek Tuning Question

Ahh ok. I will have to give this krytox a try. Didn’t realize it was proven to be the best. My chamber lube knowledge is from the 90’s / early 2000’s. Haven’t tried the new fangled stuff yet

    HW/Weihrauch HW30 Vortek Tuning Question

Sounds like a nice piece of equipment. Could the dieseling be caused by the “superlube” you are using? Never heard of using that before. Unless you are referring to “ultralube” which was a Beeman branded chamber lube (I think it was a silicone/moly blend).

What springer did you shoot today?

Nice R10! I have one myself with a Maccari kit. Shoots awesome now. Well worth it to upgrade the spring/guide as these can be pretty buzzy in stock form.

    Tuning Paul Watts

The 54 is a serious piece of equipment. I had a 52 for a while. Very powerful and very accurate. The 54 is a step up being that it is recoiless. I would shoot it for a while and make sure you like it. Down the road maybe have it tuned if you really like it. I think there is a video from Tin bum...

It slides under the cam plate. No drilling or tapping

Benjamin Williams Peep Sight on a Benjamin 342

That’s the wrong one. You want the one. I believe it is called the 273 sight

FWB FWB 300s - transforming the stock into a sporter

I think I would have to drill it out and re-do it so the grain aligns. Otherwise it would bother me every time I saw it. But I may have a slight case of OCD. Otherwise looks great!

    N/A A nickels worth

Perhaps the “bb” marks were from a shotgun? It looks like there are two impacts right next to each other where they hit. But we will probably never know the true story of what happened that fateful day this nickel was shot.
