I used to shoot nitrogen years ago when it was affordable, unfortunately now it’s stupid money around here. If you’re just going to use it to top off above 5000 it should last you a while. Hopefully you can get a better deal than we have here.

I believe most of the problems that guys have had is because of using the wrong oil. The manual calls for ISO 100 so I assume any oil that meets that requirement is ok, I went with Seco because the guys that are using it seem to be having good luck. The compressor is splash lubricated.

I know some have suggested change after the first 5 hours, I doubt I’ll let it go that far. Like I said I’m watching the color closely.

I use Seco 500 and let it run for 20 minutes with no load on it. Let it cool back to ambient temperature and you’re good to go. Be sure to put an hour meter on it.
