Just looked it up. Deer and pronghorn: The air rifle must be at least .35 caliber Elk, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, and black bear: The air rifle must be at least .45 caliber.

Respectable. I've not considered taking Deer with an Air Rifle? I know some states require at least .50 caliber when using black powder.

Nice work. Let us know how it goes with the trigger job. I have an older one with a carbine stock attached and it's super accurate at around 20 feet or so. Haven't had it out in a while. The muzzle is pointing at a three hole group.

I too have a Diana 48 in .177 which is why I was interested in this article. I bought mine for the power and accuracy it afforded me.

Thanks, let us know when you use the hand pump and how difficult it is to bring it up to pressure. I'm mostly curious about how it acts in the wild.
