N/A Which of your airguns would you choose for a 60yd target for only one shot?

Just one opportunity? My Blitz on the tripod, a full magazine and the happy switch on full. :)

To Strip or Not To Strip

For Walnut stocks I'm still a fan of Birchwood Casey's Tru Oil. I dislike a highly reflective glossy finish. Tru-oil for guns that actually are used as intended, when ya screw up and drop your gun it is easy to fix a Tru Oil finish.

This Target Cracks Me Up !

It's Easter I betcha those little bunny poop throwable "crackers" would be fun to pin up on cardboard and shoot. Should produce a nice bang. I shall try that today.

    Where to find??

Gerry52 hit the nail on the head. O-rings require 2 dimensions the inside diameter and the cross section. All O-rings are listed and stocked on these two dimensions. KISS does still apply, if we specify the ID and the cross section the OD is redundant. There are a couple more things we need to...

    Decided on a PCP...

Fully agree, the Blitz needs a bigger can. The cyclic rate is crazy high, a 21 round mag dump takes about two seconds. The Ronin does a nice job, along with the built in shrouded barrel design. I've heard of issues running a can on the Blitz, my Blitz works exactly the same W/ or W/O the Ronin...

    Decided on a PCP...

Donny FL had good and specific recs for my Hatsan Blitz in .22. The moderator is not .22 cal. they will likely have specifics for your gun as well. Apparently baffle strikes were an issue with full auto, upsizing the moderator resolves that w/ little or no loss in sound moderation, the Ronin is...

    Decided on a PCP...

My P-force carbine does not have enough moderator, it's not bad but could be quieter. Prolly leave it alone for now. My P-Force has a date with my super Dremel. Being a retired dental guy it's electric motor and diamonds for the trigger job. I'll shoot the Blitz a little tonite and do that...

    Decided on a PCP...

I have the Donny FL Ronin on my Blitz, very pleased, it really quieted the bark of the Blitz. Per their rec I am running the .25/30 Ronin it's plenty quiet and no baffle strikes. My P-Force could be quieter, I'll see if they have an end cap and share it with the P-force. Were it not for the...

    N/A Zombie setup

Almost done. The tripod is missing the center spreader for the legs, I'll make a thin plywood piece with hinges and pins to replace the center spreader. It needs the big tripod, heavy beast! My zombie blaster is only .22 but we have night vision and volume on our side!

To Strip or Not To Strip

The way factories treat what could be very nice looking wood is a real shame. Production speed rules, however in many cases they have given the craftsman a good starting point. Chemical stripper to preserve the wood and start over. I swear they dip stocks sometimes.

    N/A Zombie setup

Oh I am sooo intrigued. Built a few spud guns back in the day, dangerous fun. I stuck with hairspray and never picked any little pieces of PVC out of my hide. My brother blew up a couple trying different propellants. Ahh, the piece with the string is your sabot I assume the string makes them...

According to my wife, this is a trending thing?

Is the flat device on the lawn a battery pack? Way cool.

    N/A Zombie setup

Hmm, I have a super nice 10 gallon air compressor tank, pretty certain one of the end bells is threaded need to have a look, It's an ASME tank and zero rust. Should be rated for 125 minimum. I could build a beast, the tank has feet to put wheels on it. While a bowling ball mortar is likely off...

    N/A Blessing in disguise?

True dat. I do wish it was more like automotive in this respect. Every new car on the dealer lot will have on the Mulroney sticker the percentages of the cars origin to include parts and assembly. My new Tesla is truly an American car, what did not come from the USA was Canada and Mexico. Less...

    N/A Zombie setup

Neat, the valve for a bead seater is ideal. Same need for a big quick slug of air. I admire your creativity, good on ya! Seriously big bore... Kinda funny used to be every thrift store was swimming in old bowling balls, hardly see them anymore. I think bowling ball mortars gobbled them up. Have...

    O Ring sizer

Uhh ya I kinda thought that could go without saying... :) My friend Dwight (RIP) did his valve engineering using the valve stem sealing on the ID, most guys use the OD. He reasoned that A our flow requirement was very low, and B dimensions are more tightly held on the ID. He was very much a...

    N/A Zombie setup

Mike, that is seriously cool, How much pressure in the orange tank? Looks like a piloted valve, I assume the black rubber device is a handle? Rather the ultimate spud gun.

    O Ring sizer

Jim, I've lot of experience with O-ring seals. 40 years in dental equipment. There is a very logical reason for listing O-rings by ID and cross section. Because it is the only data needed dimensionally. :) Interesting to note the ID is the precision dimension of O-rings. ID + cross section...

    O Ring sizer

The harder durometer O-rings can be measured OK with calipers, soft o-rings are a real PITA to measure accurately. Thanks so much for the chart and App looks like a great tool. I will order one up even tho I am retired, awesome for these pesky metric o rings.

Is Stoeger's new PCP compressor a hidden gem?

Air leaks have taken out more compressor pumps than any other cause IMO. Both Lowes and Home Dopey sell leak detector, a small bottle is enough for your entire club. The liquid is quite benign, I've not had it damage anything. Small leaks make for longer run times, and longer run times equal...
