Update on the MCAR on my end. There was an issue with my rifle where the hammer would jam up after several cycles. The jam would prevent the cocking lever and hammer to come back smoothly and when trying to push the lever forward, the hammer would ride over the sear. My son's rifle would fire...

Surprisingly, it wasn't that loud without the moderator. With it, it was fairly quiet; definitely noticeable.

Took the MCARs out yesterday and they shoot well. Zeroed in at 100 yards and I was stacking 320gr slugs into one ragged hole. We shot some soda cans at 100 and it was very satisfying watching them explode :). Stretched them out to 200 yards and we were shooting MOA or better. Hoping to go out...

The shipping box was pretty torn up when it was delivered and the case had some damage. The rifle was packed very well in the case and the foam did it's job. No damage to the gun. Hey @bowwild! I am going to primarily use this as a bench gun, so I'm not too concerned about the weight (at this point). That's great to hear about Skout getting back to that quickly and is on par with what others have experienced as well.

Thanks Chuck! Much appreciated. I will look into those digital gauges you provided. I was actually thinking of going digital anyway (eventually). The idea of having better resolution is a clear winner with me, be it in BAR or PSI. I do plan on getting the ARCA mount from Skout to mount a bipod...
