    Rookie Mistakes?

Kept buying tickets on the Magnum Mania train. Took R1lover many years to realize less was sometimes more. I've since added a stable of mid and low power springers (everything HW and FWB).

    HW/Weihrauch Plug Screw Availability

They are M5x0.5 size. Typical hardware stores carry M5x0.8. You can find M5x0.5 on line but none with the finely cut slot in the head Beeman used to offer. I’ve found hex head M5x0.5 on line but they don’t look much better that the bare hole.

    Crosman 1720T ?

Had the same issue. I bought a EDgun EaZy quick fill trigger so I never have to worry if/how much air I lose when filling during a match. Gun's check valve closes instantly upon releasing the EaZy fill trigger. Line pressure from tank stays up.

Be well my friend, look forward to seeing you at the next FT match. Not this month but next month I may partner with you and shoot a SPRING gun!

    FWB Some 10 meter fun

Glad you're enjoying your gun the way it was made to enjoy. Nice shooting too!

Crosman M1 Carbine BB Guns, Old and New

How cool that you still have your 1968 BB gun. I wish I had one or two of my oldies. Back then they broke and got thrown away. Nobody considered that 50 or 60 years from then those old guns, broken or not, would have sentimental value. Heck, probably nobody considered we kids would still be...

Beeman First Groups with used Beeman R9 .20

JSB 13.73's have been called the .20 cal gold standard by others and a couple of my guns prefer them, but at 12 fpe you're only getting 630 fps. If FTT 11.42's come close in accuracy, I'd use those. You'll get 690 fps.

I have been officially shut down!

IIRC anything that "casts a projectile" is forbidden to use in our city limits.

I have been officially shut down!

When you do I'll warm up the chops and bring my trumpet over.....we'll play a few Maynard Ferguson tunes for your neighbor, lol (Yeah, I got called one night by a neighbor while in college and asked to quit practicing Hey Jude).

Tuning Blessed by Motorhead and camsprecisionairguns

Scott is spot on.....the wood on both guns is actually slightly darker. I brightened the picture due to poor lighting in the house that day. Dark walnut has a more soothing appeal to me than light walnut.

Tuning Blessed by Motorhead and camsprecisionairguns

We in NorCal are blessed to have Scott Schneider (Motorhead AG Tuning Services) and Cameron Kerndt (camsprecisionairguns) as local field target competitors and friends to buy guns from, tune/modify guns and share their combined state, national and world champion field target experience and...

    Beeman I couldn't resist 🤪(Update it's finally here)

Congrats on a great find and a fast trigger finger, lol. I have R1's in 3 calibers and .20 is the most accurate. For sure let us know how it shoots once you put the kit in it.

Sacramento Valley Field Target ( SVFTC ) March 2025 Jim Cyran Memorial Match "RESULTS"

Ditto what you and Gear Junkie said. Thank you to all who contributed to a great season opener, but mostly to you Scott.....few if any of us could put on half the match you do. You have the mojo, man! Always a privilege to compete with you. Gear Junkie, you're always right there in the hunt...

    How do YOU challenge YOU?

"Steady"....."taming"..... same difference to me. The goal is to create a reasonably small, slow CONCENTRIC wobble about the center of the target. If my wobble (mine changes direction at will) is both unpredictable and wide I end up yanking the trigger if/when my sights cross the target. I...

    How do YOU challenge YOU?

Challenge: 1. Stop procrastinating 2. Start practicing I am going to try placing a piece of paper on the wall across the room with a 1 inch diameter circle inside a 2 inch diameter circle and practice my off-hand hold for 10 minutes a day. Raise my rifle and try to keep the cross hair inside...

    Crosman 1968 Crosman 760 PowerMaster

I had a 760 in the early 70's. It took a lot of convincing to get Dad to allow me to step up from my Daisy 1894 BB gun to a pump pellet gun. After a couple of years the 760 began to leak and I was old enough for a Sheridan which Dad also wasn't keen on but gave in and allowed me to work to...
