I bought one awhile back off ebay and have regretted it ever since. It loved to always mash a pellet in the stock magazine and always had to use a carbon rod down the barrel to unjam. Unfortunately nobody like Carm makes better mags for it. Currently have had it disassembled and I actually took...
I must know, is the screw on the powerwheel for this metal or plastic? Weird question yes, but if the screw there is metal on this sub-$300 AF knocm-off while the one on my TalonP was cheap plastic and broke I'm gonna have to knock more stars off AF 🤣 I still love my TalonP but for a rifle that...
There was one shot I took on a squirrel way out near the end of my property line around 30yds, .25 Grizzly pellet in my TalonP. It looked like a clean headshot but as I went out to get the body I saw the squirrel still alive laying in a small pool of blood. It was still in the same spot I downed...
There was one time I decided to try the H&N Hornets in my TalonP on a grey, headshot within 20yds. To my surprise the end result was way more bloody compared to any other .25 pellet ive used so far. Woudlve thought there'd be less blood due to the increased penetration of the pellet shape but...
TalonP. Very lightweight for what seems like a full sized rifle now with the accesories I have on, however it just stays well balanced. And of course it has power and really easy to work on.
I take extra care to always make sure if whatever I'm shooting at will stay within my yard. Passed up many shots on squirrels due to them being in a not so good position if I were to down them, or miss (I feel like they know I wont take aim at them if they chill on top of the fence seperating me...
I did think about getting a L2 at one point, but jumped the gun on a GK1 instead, dont regret it though, and I dont doubt how awesome the L2 is either. I am still eyeing the Leshiy classic though, I have a special fondness for those single-loaders 😄
What kind of scope mounts do you use for your TalonP. I yoinked the dovetail rings off a Hatsan scope I had laying around and it has the slight problem of moving slightly forward after a few shots. Not a huge problem but I do gotta make sure to untighten and push the scope back down the rail.
Been using the Huben GK1 here and there and has been fun. For pesting however I still prefer my TalonP, not very compact since the 9" shroud at the end now, but it being featherlight and me holding it in in odd positions using the laser sight has got me covered close and long ranges
In my opinion, the top-hat kit REALLY should be included with the purchase of a TalonP (or at least bundled in some way. But the company gotta make a profit somehow I guess :ROFLMAO: The level of tuning this simple kit adds is too much to pass up, an absolute must buy for anyone out there...
