The cocking effort on the R9 is the same as the HW50S.

It should do more than 75 foot pounds. My .25cal MKII will do 70 foot pounds with a 700mm barrel and I haven't even install the slug power kit yet. Once FX puts out info on an air gun, they don't update it....ever. lol

I'm with you on the FX OEM mags for the DRS. I have high mounts on mine, so I use the regular version, which I own many. I need to try out the Orion mags.

Good post! I just read your post. I had bought the same FX DRS Classic 22cal 600mm and bought the larger plenum. I had the same results you did. Mine came shooting the same exact power yoursdid. I just wanted more shots and that was the only reason for buying a bigger plenum. I'm going the route...

I'm getting ready to buy one. Lighter weight and added shot count is worth it to me.

230 bar to 120 bar is the shot count. Plus depends on how fast you are shooting the 16 grain pellets. Let us know.

Just got one in 22.cal 600mm. It came shooting JSB's at 858fps, JSB 15.89 Hades at 904fps for about 60 shots. I had seen a video or 2 where they came from the factory shooting JSB 18'as at 915fps, which I knew wouldn't be 60 shots. t's a hair more power than I wanted, so I may tune it down next...

Yeah, in the regulator. Regs go bad most of the time because of operator error, sometimes not, but most of the time.

You can get a replacement kit from Utah Air guns. I would call them. I've done regs on FX air guns before and it a pretty straight forward job. You don't need a complete reseal, but hey, it's not my air gun.

All standard superior FX liners in .25cal can and will shoot up to 34 grain slugs. It has been proven on here by myself and many many more, and also goes along with what FX states about their standard superior liner.

Slugs like to run fast in general. If they are all over the place at 905 fps, them bump it up to 950 or higher. If it doesn't work at those speeds then it's not for your air gun.

IMO all UK airguns are priced to high for what they are compared to other airguns.

Not enough shots per fill. Too light...needs to be at least 10 pounds. Can't withstand being ran over by a Semi-Truck. Thats all I've heard. lol
