Resources Field target van for travel

We have a farm truck. Luckily they don't rust here. I don't take it on trips because 11mpg cost too much to drive.

Resources Field target van for travel

I was looking into a used small SUV or pickup I could camp in for going to archery shoots. The costs of adding another vehicle to our fleet were way higher than a couple nights in a hotel per month.

Ghost carbine in 177 for hft

No one can answer that. You need to shoot a full string over the chronograph to see how it is performing now. The regulator is only a part of the tune.

    Ambidextrous shooters?

Hold a finger out at arms length and let your eyes relax til you see double. Once you get that happening, you can hold up a pistol in each hand. Always use the set of sights closer to the center when in double vision. Left sights for the right hand and right sights for the left hand. Dry...

Disclaimer, I am biased towards the Anniversary model 362. I have $1000 air rifles and still like shooting the 362 with 3 pumps for indoor practice. The 2100 and Daisy 880 have been cheapened quite a bit compared to the 80's and early "90s era production ones.

HW/Weihrauch Pellet Weight for Beeman R7

I wasn't directing towards you. Had not scrolled down the entire thread yet.

Ruger does not make any, those are chinese imports. Wood stock and a good gun will be a no-go at your price point. A Daisy 880, Crosman 2100, or Crosman 362 will all have better accuracy than budget spring piston guns, but you will have to work for it pumping them up 8 or 10 times per shot...

    How much charge

It can be useful to keep them charged when stored. You know right away when you pick it up if it has leaked down with a quick glance at the gauge. I prefer to top them up to whatever fill pressure I have them tuned to before putting them away.

HW/Weihrauch Pellet Weight for Beeman R7

You are thinking backwards as far a straining the powerplant. Light pellets will be closer to a dry fire. Heavier pellets should soften the impact for the piston.

N/A One piece mount vs traditional two rings

Yes, 1 piece mounts are usually best. I would only use seperate rings for a lightweight scope on an HW30 or HW50. Some folks have had some big field target scopes that the center part where the turrets attach would high center in a 1 piece mount though.

    PCP then springer?

Started back into airguns as an adult with a Crosman Discovery. After discovering field target, I found the limits of the disco and set about modifying a bit. Got tired of the project fairly quickly, and got an HW97, sent it to Motorhead for a tune and it was my steady setup for a few years. I...

    Ground squirrel infestation!

Lengua tacos are as good as it gets. How many lizard eggs does it take to make an omelet? The Cajuns say you can make gumbo out of anything that can crawl, swim, or fly.

Other Just how much must I pay for "Accuracy" in a PCP gun?

Maurader should be fine after a basic setup. I have never met a PCP rifle that was not accurate, spring guns are a different story. What kind of accuracy are you looking for? 50 yards on out with pellets, wind is a much bigger factor than it is with powder burners. When you think in mils or...

    Need a lightweight target rifle

I have never known anyone shooting in any form of accuracy competition that wanted less weight. The general consensus is weight equals stability in rifles, handguns, and archery. Care to expand on your goals?

HW/Weihrauch Problems with my Shotgrouping Hw77k

Move your thumb from across the stock to pointing forward along side the stock. Changing pressure on the back of the grip changes poi up and down. Make sure your rest is padded and at the balance point of the forend. You need to develop a very specific shot process (a checklist) to go...

    Ftlbs for pesting indoors

.177 wadcutter with 3 pumps from a crosman 1377 won't exit a mouse, but rolls them dead. Never had exits from pigeons using wadcutters from a crosman 2100 with 10 pumps, but dropped them fast.
