My G2 30 shoot slugs well but my G2 25 basically won't do it. I believe the 22 is similar to the 25 in that regard. I wouldn't even bother unless you're not worried about making nice groups. But maybe there is some ammo out there that works. I've tried a lot of slugs in my 25 though.

The sizing on those H&N slugs is tricky. You have to spend money to find out if your gun likes a .217, .218, or .219 ... or none of them at all.

As long as it groups just adjust your optics after you pick whatever you like best. I have a couple guns I shoot slugs and pellets out of, so in that case it's a little more important to choose ammo that has a similar POI. I do not enjoy messing with the scope to begin every shooting session...

That may be causing your problem. If there is not enough pressure (4500-5000psi) then it can misfire as well.
