    I almost got sick today"

That's the stuff of nightmares. I fought against that for decades in climates like Florida and Tennessee. MP-5 liberaly every few weeks...Inside and out...worked for me but had to be diligent. I'm down to my last bottle of the stuff...No longer available. Was great for barrel cleaning also...

Well...That one didn't last long...Checked at 7:30edt...gone...Would have gone well with my standard Mutant...there has/is some good stuff on AOA's used site lately...good place to stay off of if one is budgeting.

    Taipan Taipan Mutant Short .22

No surprise here...These Taipan's are just too great of a platform, (what ever the configuration) not to have in your arsenal. I just "converted" another member...Fishing43, to two Taipan's, a standard. 22 and a compact .25, he's all in now and I'm happy for him...Taipan Veteran air rifles are...

    Light trigger...prove it.

Taipan Veteran type 1 trigger group. I have four Taipans and all adjusted to my standard...no honing or polishing...just tweaking the various adjustment screws. Anyone who desires a nice crisp "light" trigger...I highly recommend a Veteran...The only equal to or better was one I experienced...

N/A What is considered the “best”

A "Really nice" springer? What comes to mind...cost not withstanding...with in reason...A few examples...If you HW (Weihrauch) the world HW's with you, (nothin' wrong with them) But when you Theoben you Theoben alone!!!

    FX Royale 400

A good buddy and AGN member whom I chat with several times a week ordered a Royale 400 .22.with a walnut stock last year. He may even chime in if he sees this thread...but I was with him every agonizing step of the way in the ordering process...I touted the virtues of the original smooth twist...

Brocock/BRK You're all time "go to" air rifle ?

Any one of my four current Taipan's...I could be satisfied with any one of them, doupt if I will ever buy any other brand of airgun...I just don't see anything anywhere for any price that I could shoot (in my hands) more accurately or would have less problems with...I'm satisified with the type...

    Other Cocking lever location

Dear OP...Fireballdave. allow me to hijack your thread by re-titleing the subject to " Why I love rear-cocking airguns", "me" for my opinion. I have "five" PCP's with rear cocking A .25 Bobcat and four Taipans...Two standard and one compact plus one Mutant, all the Taipan's are .22's...Guess...

Taipan Taipan Veteran 1 issue with magazine? EDIT: It's not the magazine

Post a CLOSEUP picture of the indexing side of the suspected mag and let me examine it. The Veterans pellet probe completes the indexing cycle....I've been shooting Vets since "18 and have great respect for the platform including the mag system...I'm a retired machinist and made parts for 40...

Air Arms would like to know - Do you remember your first air rifle?

My first air gun was a Smith & Wesson 77a .22 pumper. Bought in 1977 from Montgomery Wards in Lakeland Florida...Shortly after being discharge from the navy, cost $99.00 US. Liked it so much bought another one some months later...Honestly don't remember what happened to either one, started...

Have not cleaned in a while

I've owned four original smooth twist barrels, still have a 600mm .25 Bobcat I've been shooting for years. The ST's I've owned were/are at their best cleaned every couple hundred shots or so...I can tell within a couple shots if it's time to clean...I use a crown saver or equivalent with MP-5...

Trigger Pull. Tempest in a tea cup?

Depends on the specific airgun how tolerant I am of a mediocre trigger, for instance, a vintage SLR98 or any Theoben gas ram generally don't have a "great" trigger like the HW97, but with practice penny size groups at 25 yards are achieveable....I've shot many and their a joy to shoot, but for...

Have you found that “ One Airgun”?

Yep...Since '19, Taipan Veteran standard .22. If you never owned one I would put a type 1 Vet at the top of your "to try" list. The trigger and build quility are stellar. I've tried a bunch of different brands...spared no expense...Taipan Veteran is my gun/brand...Look at my past posts or ask...

N/A Best *Obsolete* or *Discontinued* PCP Rifle?

collector, enthusiast, hoarder or just obsessed?

I guess I'm just an "enthusiast"...Over the years I bought airguns on the basis of how much I liked the way they looked and in "post internet" years, after 2010 for me, looks and owner testimonials but still having to "buy to try". After joining AGN in '18, which HAS become an obsession, I...

N/A Recommendations on short range PCPs

There is a Kalibergun Mini Carbine on page 9 of the classifieds I've been watching...with 5 extra mags. Very fair price IMHO, stock has been refinished and looks like an outstanding job...nice gun...I'm surprised it lasted this long. I don't know the seller but I do have a Mini carbine, they...
