So I have several new regs that I purchased just to have. Two of which are the avenge x stainless steel and dimensions are the same and you can swap between the two types. That's the reason for assuming they are the same internally except older being brass and newer/ avenge x being stainless steel.

Yes they use the same mags. Its the same magazine as the benjamin marauder and umarex gauntlet as well as beeman chief 2 and im sure as well as others. I purchased them on sale on amazon I think it was like 15 for 2 when i got them.

I have the avenge x in both 22 and 25 but mine are both tube versions. In my opinion if you're just shooting paper or other targets the 22 will be a bit cheaper to feed.
