    Please Explain

Yeah, my Optometrist said the same. She had some paitients get the more expensive lenses and they complained. It doesn’t always work. Apparently It can be a bit tricky/delicate proceess and my VSP doesn’t cover it anyway. If/when I do have the cateract surgery, I’m going with normal surgery...

Tuning No Hobby For Old Men

“There is a point of diminishing returns when you own many PCPs. Particularly if doing your own trouble shooting because for “some” myself included it becomes work. Regular maintenance I understand. “ Well said Luis. This captures what I was trying to covey. Fewer can be better, and I am...

Tuning No Hobby For Old Men

Yeah, I can see that you make a good case for the above. It does help that you have excellent tuning and gunsmith skills, which can make all of this more enjoyable. But, I can understand the other side of this as well, having been very frustrated with fixing ( or breaking) air rifles over the...

Tuning No Hobby For Old Men

Steve, I found your post and reread the entire thread last evening. I also enjoyed our discussion yesterday on compressors. As we talked about our mutual hobby, it occurred to me that we have similar circumstances. I have seven pretty high end PCPs. Two RAWs ( HM1000x .22, TM1000x .177) two...

    30-Yard Challenge

Ha ha. As Mike says, you have to have a good air rifle. Mike N shot a 55Y 198-18X. Now that’s some shooting. How in the world can anyone even hit that small 10 ring at 55Y? Never mind hitting it that many times! Amazing! Gotta love this hobby. Very addictive.

    Compressor Safety

Good idea on the shatter-proof eye protection. Not sure if you saw my earlier post/experience in this thread, but I need to find some good, clear shatter proof eye protection. I can bring them to the range with me, keep on the bench, and use when I am filling or removing connections from the...

    Please Explain

My wife and I both just had our annual eye exams. Both of us have progressive lenses with stigmatism's. After VSP insurance the ”out of pocket” costs were $1100, for just the lenses at Triangle Visions. We kept our old frames. Looking forward to Cataract surgery in a few years.

It has to be the new ‘drum stool seat’ you bought.🤗 The .22 Crown likes the 18.1g JSB/FX pellets at 900 FPS. Awesome!

GX-CS4-I: Buy from Amazon vs. GX?

No, the three year Amazon - Assurion warranty covers three years from date of purchase. In year one you can use the GX Manufacturer’s warranty. it really boils down to an individual’s comfort level in fixing simple vs. “not so simple repairs.” Plus ‘simple‘ for many may not be ‘simple’ for...

GX-CS4-I: Buy from Amazon vs. GX?

For $69 three year Amazon-Assurion warranty would be a no brained for me with a Compressor. Especially, since several on this thread have received ‘full refunds’ with their claims. re. Expensive Appliances and warranties - Jim, I thinks this is a ‘depends’ kind of user experience. As...

    30-Yard Challenge

That’s superb shooting at 40y. Every time I move my target stand back from 30-40y, I start quietly talking ( cursing really) to myself. I start thinking, “Tom, why don’t you just shoot some tight groups and be content with that.” 😉

Mike - I knew he was sandbagging us. Marvin never turns in a bad card and is very humble. Great combination.

    EaZy Trigger Fill for PCPs

I like the 40” hose with adapter options. Good quality. Yeah, between gas, time involved, and occasional < 4500 psi fills; I have about grown tired of the long drives. Plus, sometimes they don’t have it ready at the promised time. Luckily, I go to ‘Zack’ and only Zack because is does exactly...

    EaZy Trigger Fill for PCPs

No, please read my very first post. I connect the EZaY fill from my GW and can fill the same gun ( or several others also) as many times as I want “without“ bleeding it after each fill. Here’s an example: So, I connect my fill hose with EZaY from GW to foster male on my gun. Fill 6-8 times...

    EaZy Trigger Fill for PCPs

Mike All my fill whips are Microbore. Have two 39” hoses from Joe B and/or AoA. Air Tanks Plus makes custom lengths up to six feet if needed. All are high quality and pricey, which I don’t mind because it’s HPA. For my range set up, I need the longer hoses from the shooting bench. Without...
