My Atomics are sending the CPHPs at the same 725 fps max. The gun is definitely capable of better than 3/4” at 20 yards. I would suggest inspecting the HS and hammer for any obstructions to their travel. The sloppy sound you are describing could be indicative of the hammer not hitting the valve...

You mentioned HS adjustment/adjustments, that may have something to do with the sound you describe the gun makes. Maybe too much HS for the regulator setting. What were your observed chrono velocities and pellets used? Numbers please, as this will help narrow down your issues. Both of my Atomics...
