    Collectible airguns

"collector airguns" need to function needing zero maintenance free for 10 (ugh, let's say 20) years to life (yours) . Anything with heirloom quietly. Really darn few in current production. IMO . A Beaumight be nice, a Martin made rapid air Weapons, A DAQ- all american made which some like...

    Field target club name

Do hit every forum, post match reports with pictures over seas... . Fabebook sounds great (I am just a bit older out of date) to draw from your area. And start your own page of any kind. Harold Rushton has some FT stuff posted here there & everywhere you might look at for more ideas on...

Airguns vs. gun-guns for teaching kids.

You said "some aptitude, if not some talent" so maybe some day "all 10's"? My Mother -full ride- and my 1st scholarship were shooting. Not knowing age/size as Mic The Fuzzy Limey used to instruct "hack saw, bondo tape whatever it Must fit" "close your eyes throw it into position and open your...

    Field target club name

Agree with no worries on a name right now, get a group of regulars going and see how it grows. Loaner rifle + Location to shoot a must and you seem to somewhat have that covered. The old TVA -Tennessee Valley Authority - club (Brad Troyer) was excellent however eventually the farmer sold his...

    Bound to Happen

Yup. On the non spring loaded ones (say Crosman) this is the safest way to degas, just fill/overfill (slightly) enough to open the valve then BARLEY crack the bleed valve on your fill unit and let drain. Naturally always double check to e sure all air emptied before disassembly of pressure...

Why put a gauge on the plenum?

Personally never need a gauge anywhere on an airgun. Crony (not on the rifle) yes. Then again I think tuning is Not done with knobs and see no reason for those either. Also like regulator's but actually prefer just a proper tune. But that's just me. John

Simple question. Do you own a Red Ryder? If not WHY? John

    Airforce Helium

Wont damage anything. If lower quality in manufacturing it may leak and the price no is insane. Also at 6,000psi you need appropriate fill gear. And, it is louder. John

N/A Utah Airguns Cleaning House (Bargains?)

The airforce outlet store has the Escape UL (18" barrel) @ $$543 heck of a lot of power short light and accurate w/lifetime warranty. I own one and it is overkill even at 70 yards on the largest marmots you've ever seen. John

Which wind direction do you find most difficult to shoot in?

MOST difficult? Not listed above. However I dont shoot bench, mostly FT & Squirrel (other) so. . Most difficult personally high wind at the muzzle followed a near total wind block then a strong side wind followed by swirl and the last 10 yards severe up draft caused by fast moving cold...

    Cancer in the airgun world

And the countdown begins. "He's 15 years old" but you've got to admit that it is interesting (meh) to have more than 1 person with the same 1st middle & last name in the same town in MS. No Jr. , the II or III just the exact same name. And they are all 15 years old? A shame for...

    Walther Lothar barrels

Long know for decent barrels. Also know to run some tooling too long. Say 2006 would NOT have been a good year to order a .22 15mm but once the new inventory finally hit again back to quality barrel Do know one builder who had scraped over 100 LW barrels because even after everything one can...

N/A Old Noob needs a basement handgun

1701P is one heck of a fine shooter (pcp). You might enjoy an old (plenty around and nice prices) crosman MKI or MKII looks like this: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=crosman+MKI&t=newext&atb=v325-1&iax=images&ia=images And the 78/79 S&W -but personally had better luck/grouping with the MKI- if you...

We don't need no steenken' Daystate or FX

Old school rocks. Everyone here remember the GNIB stock's? 100% handmade -NO machines- & most shaping done with machinate and draw knife. https://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j247/peter5761/DSCN2921.jpg They were also one heck of a Value! John

    Seneca Dragon Claw airbow

Want to explain that? Reallt works on the Career &)& when they 1st came out , works just fine on a Benjamin discovery (but will leak overnight), used it in an old "44bigbore" 909 Rob Hand built, worked fine and did not leak. Do NOT over fill and it isn't any problem airgun sees no extra force...
