    Benjamin Benjamin Knurled Bolt

I picked up this Benjamin 392P on the used list at AOA. It came with this knurled bolt. Being a lefty, I prefer it over the traditional right leveraged bolts. I can’t seem to find one on the market anywhere. I doubt it’s custom made because I have seen these on other Benjamin 397/392’s. I have...

Sheridan About the Silver Streak front sight

The front sight on a Silver Streak can be an advantage or disadvantage. Depending on the lighting. Just like a blackened sight is. On a dark target it’s an advantage. Opposite of a black one. I as a whole prefer the silver one. The newer model Sheridan/Benjamin have a serration on them and they...

HW/Weihrauch In the eye of the beholder

Glad all is well Crow. You are lucky that they needed surgery. Mine aren’t to bad enough yet. Just bad enough for shooting well. Maybe I’ll get them checked again. Bless you. Good post.

N/A Any high end pumpers around?

To me this is the best model Benjamin ever made. 1991. All American. Both in 177 and 22 caliber. Awesome trigger with a simple spring replacement. Really solid and excellent workmanship. The nickel plating is gorgeous. Also made in black. Light weight and accurate. Only made for a couple years...

N/A Any high end pumpers around?

My friend has the Dragonfly. He really likes it. I’ve sweetened it up for him but personally don’t care for it. It has a good design, but very clanky and poorly made in the cocking leverage department. My favorite pumpers are the Sheridan/ Benjamin/Crosman models built in the 90’s. American...

Hatsan Mod 95 .22 breach question

Sometimes the holes that are drilled and tapped in the receiver have rough burrs on the interior. The piston rubs against these burrs and it scars the piston. Now it two rough surfaces grinding against each other. This may be what you are experiencing.

Hatsan Mod 95 .22 breach question

I have two Hatsan 95’s in 22 caliber. One in 25 and one in 177 also. All are tight fitting. I did relieve the breach with a small bevel to accept the skirt to flush. It helped.

Other Replica Co2 Pellet pistols ?

I wet sanded through the paint (in areas) and laser etching. Really watch to be sure you have gotten through the laser etching. Then just use a cold bluing to color. The grips are wood. The back needs to be dremeled to lay flat on the frame and allow the C02‘s in. Then just rough them up and...

Hatsan Hatsan 125 5,5mm vortex spring

I have four Vortex. Three 95’s and one 135. I recently converted all to springs. Much improved. My Vortex in all four could be let down. I set the 95’s at 125 bar and the 135 at 145 bar. They were maxed out at these levels but not to extreme in behavior. Caliber matters at what I would...

Sheridan Decided to go old school

With the latest acquisition of Crosman by Daisy, I would not be surprised to see the end of the 392S/397S. The beautiful nickel plated and Walnut stocks along with 5mm (20 caliber) were discontinued years ago. All these have become very popular again and prices reflect it. Still bargains can be...

Sheridan Decided to go old school

I recently discovered the same. Now, I have all three calibers .177-top, .20-middle, .22-bottom. Every one is incredibly accurate. Easy to pump and I enjoy shooting them more than my Springers. All have original iron sights, Williams peep sights and a 2.5 power extended eye relief scope. Simple...

Tuning Who else enjoys breaking in their springers instead of tuning?

I save all blister pack packaging I find. Even 2 liter bottles. Cut a sheet of paper that fills the piston from edge to edge. Use this for a template. Cut a piece of blister pack plastic that holds the spring firmly in the piston. Done.

Tuning Who else enjoys breaking in their springers instead of tuning?

I have two Weihrauch’s that are not tuned. A HW98 & HW55. I pretty much tune everything after initial function/accuracy test. These two shoot and behave perfectly enough to leave them be. All my Hatsan’s are tuned. Economy tuned. Blister pack sleeves on original springs. I swear this is as good...
