My Anshutz 2002 has a 14 1/2" barrel. It is tuned for 19 ft.lbs. I get excellent results in Field Target. A famous UK competitor and writer, Nick Jenkinson used a pistol barrel on a TX200 when ever he competed in piston class.

Check out synethic compressor oil from AmsOil. I also use it to lube hammer and spring. This oil remains same viscosity over a HUGE temperature range. My extreme spreads are usually 11 ft per sec with this AmsOil on the hammer. Good for barrels too.
