Air arms pro sport and tx200

I have both as well. Beautiful rifles. My Pro Sport shoots perfectly out of the box. Accuracy, power, and shot cycle are excellent. My TX200HC is quite nice, but it was a bit twangy. I added a Vortek kit and it smoothed out noticeably. It is now more accurate. It shoots a bit slower than...

Recommendation on a tier 1 springer

I have a TX200HC, a Pro Sport, and an HW97K. The TX200 is the prettiest. It also has a nice balance. It shoots very well, but the safety doesn't always set. It also has some barrel droop. I added a Vortek kit as it had a bit of twang. It now has a nicer shot cycle. The Pro Sport is quite...

    Gold Filter For Yong Heng

ksblank: I have not had any problems with the compressor or filters. It is less than a year old so probably too soon to say. I expect the compressor will develop issues with time. I also expect I can fix it with spare parts. No issues with the tanks or rifle, but I have not depressurized...

Feedback LDamm is great to deal with!

Recently purchased a rifle from LDamm. Messaged me back right away. We closed on the deal in one evening. He shipped the next day. I was blown away by the perfect condition of the rifle. An outstanding person to work with. Thanks!

    Gold Filter For Yong Heng

Put a check valve inline after the last filter. This will hold pressure in tank. From there I just open the drain valve on the oil-water separator. Do this every 10min or so and adjust frequency to suit your local humidity. When I'm done filling, I open valve on separator and then the two on...

    Tuning TX200HC with barrel droop?

Thanks. Not what expected, but good to know this is common in underlevers too. I did have the RWS mount laying around and currently have it on the rifle. It is a bit high, but corrects for the droop. Now if I can just find a fix for the safety that doesn't always reset.... There used to be...

    Tuning TX200HC with barrel droop?

I have a TX200HC that seems to have a considerable amount of barrel droop (beyond scope adjustment). I don't expect an underlever in general or a TX specifically to have barrel droop. The rifle is otherwise quite consistently accurate. Is there anything I can check which may have broken or...

    Air Tank setup questions

I also suggest a quality springer, but if you want to get into pcps, I suggest that you can indeed use a hand pump. Pick a rifle with a smaller cylinder and a good shot count. I don't have a problem using a hand pump with my Huntsman's 168cc capacity. If it had a 480cc bottle, I would not say...

Can the Hill EC-3000 be used to fill larger tanks?

What is the difference is between a compressor designed to direct fill airguns and one designed to fill tanks? Is it just the lack of cooling or is is also the reliability of the components? If it is just cooling then the automatic system shutdown should address that issue. So it must also be...

    Gold Filter For Yong Heng

All: thanks for the complements on the setup. Woodworking is another of my many hobbies. I built the setup to fill 30min SCBA bottles. There is a sink nearby that drains into my small citrus grove. I put the pump in the sink and let it run down the drain to water the trees. Pump...

How much work to hand pump PCP

I think it depends on your application. If you shoot a lot, you will want a tank or a compressor. I used a hand pump for first 9 years or so. I had a Maurader that I mostly used for squirrel hunting. I would fill it before a hunt and I was fine for the day. The tank on the Maurader and my...

SCBA Tank Valve Fitting Size (NxG2)??

Jeff, I think you are saying you replaced your NXG2 valve with a valve designed for pcp fill instead of using a standard Scott CGA347 + adapter. That layout makes sense. I'm also curious which valve you used and how difficult the swap was. There are a few valves on eBay for around $50. Then...

SCBA Tank Valve Fitting Size (NxG2)??

If one is going to replace the valve, would you go with a CGA347 valve + full station or a valve designed as pcp fill station (with slow fill perhaps). BTW, is this an easy diy project?

Looking At Springers, What is the Best that is Readily Available ?

I can recommend the TX200. I find the stock and finish work spectacular. I think it might be the prettiest of the premium springers. Shot cycle is much smoother as compared to an RWS 48. One small hole at 20 yards. Love squirrel hunting with mine.

    ONLY 2 GUNS?

Pretty happy with my TX200 and my Huntsman Regal XL. Someday I will add a big bore, but I want a carbine size and suppressed.

TX200 issues fully resolved - thanks to Pyramid Air and Hawke Optics

This is somewhat consistent with my experience. Out of the box, my TX200HC was not accurate. I was also not seeing expected velocity (~580 w/ 14g). I never sent it back to Pyramid Air, but I did add a Vortek SHO kit and replace the barrel seals. My rifle is now night and day better. Much...

TX200 issues fully resolved - thanks to Pyramid Air and Hawke Optics

I'm curious if you have any idea what the issue with the rifle was. What was done or replaced to correct it?

    Springer versus PCP accuracy

My TX200HC with the Vortek PG2 SHO kit seems to like the H&N FTT pellets best in terms of accuracy. I don't yet have the velocity for those pellets, but based on several other 14g pellets, I expect around 14fpe. Consistent groups of 0.8" at 30 yards with a non-optimal rest. I would guess I...
