Nice! Yes it's wider than the KLS-1 and there is an upgrade kit you can get to swap out the old pad for this one. When you upgrade it, it also comes with the cant feature.

Most AR15 safety selectors are more expensive than this AND most don't have some kind of functional innovation to them. I'd say $29 isn't unreasonable for a specialty item. Great job with the tutorial, I haven't poked around behind that cover before.

Kraford and Lypt now has the T-rail feature on the Gen2 guards, where you can slide the rail to any position. Even more adjust-ability than the (knockoff trigger guard), FX is selling that Donny is behind.

I'm 6'1" which isn't too tall, but after getting the KLS-1 it totally changed how my neck and shoulder where positioned. It really helps with eye relief and just using the rifle comfortably. I also know they are working on a new adjustable cheek rest, so I'd keep an eye on their stuff.

I got the gen2 and it feels pretty natural to hold. The bend fits nicely in the palm of your hand. I've been using a Magpul fore end, but I think holding it without the magpul part is still more comfortable. You could probably ask them if they have a gen1 as well, that one is smooth all along...

It's a good idea if you want a flashlight or battery pack attached. Seems like the bottle is quite strong on my Impact, but I wouldn't trust the bipod connected to it. If that thing gets dinged or something around the hole of the block get messed up you'd have to buy a new Impact... Probably...

The T-rail that goes along the bottom covers it all with a picatinny rail. At 2 minutes into the video it shows the slip in T-rail.

Utah air should be getting in Kraford&Lypt parts soon. Krafor and Lypt is also having a Black Friday sale, might want to check them out again. 

I'd email the guys at Kraford and Lypt about the KLS-1 and getting a stock you like. They have made a custom part for me and they might be able to do the same for you and the stock. The Ballistic Specialties looks nice, but seems a bit expensive for such a simple part compared to the Kraford...

I have the KLS-1 from Krafordandlypt.com on my Impact and really like it. It is really comfortable to shoulder and the monopod it comes with is detachable which makes it very versatile. I also have it with the bipod extender and it's very stable with the two.
