I'm wondering if the better bc of a slug might help a 15fpe springer be more accurate for 50 yard benchrest shooting? Any recommendations for brand or weight of pellet? Mine shots best with 10.3 gr heavy pellets at about 825 fps.

A clean barrel really makes a difference with this gun. I don't think I've ever shot better. 21 Xs out of 41 targets. Only 4 nines.

I've been doing the same. I've kept working on it because my instinct was telling me that the gun was great. I never felt like i was throwing those pellets all over. This card makes it clear to me that it's not me or the gun.

I really appreciate your input. I'm hoping I don't have to live with this. The gun is fantastically accurate but for the scope.

That has been my conclusion but I want to be sure. I've seen it with two different scopes and it seems unlikely they're both bad. I am looking for a benchrest scope that will withstand the hw97. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Preferably under $500.

I contacted vector about the 10 - 40 scope and they said it wouldn't stand up to a springer. Right now that's my number one priority. Any others have recommendations based on experience with springers?

The vector 10 - 40 x 50 is very appealing from a price standpoint. Anyone know how it might hold up on a springer? I've had problems with my Aztec Emerald.
