N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

Both are pictures at the end of chamber beginning of throat. You can still see a small edge where the chamber ends and the throat begins. Reamer was used to clean up the chatter marks some then polished. In other words picture one is after a .177 reamer did the chamber, pic 2 is the No 1...

I noticed when I was shooting several slugs lately. The NSA slugs chambered harder. I think they may be a bit larger and a bit harder. There is one thousands difference between NSA .1755 and H&N .1745

N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

The lead in our first attempt was 1 in 50 which is common with most taper reamers. I read though, a lead of 1 in 100 is preferred. I purchased some non hardened drill rod to make my own reamer then decided to go with the typical 1 in 50 degree. I think that could have been some of our initial...

RTI ❓ Recommendations for a Low Power .30cal Gun?

Shooting 60 yards at that speed would be challenging. You will need to be spot on with your distance calculation. Polymags sure will work but I doubt they will deform much at distance.

N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

Our goal was to shoot 17 to 20 grain slugs. We initially decided to try Redman barrel liners in .172 that have a 1- 9twist. WE just could not get the accuracy out of this barrel. Using NOE's sizing dies they did a good job at resizing but accuracy just didn't get much better that 1" at 50...

N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

Well that is what Thadius told me Saturday on the phone, from Utah Air. He is also the one that confirmed twice 3 weeks ago the heavy was 1 in 16. Supposedly Utah is the main distributor now for FX. You would think they would get their product info straight. The STX Heavy in 700 mm will not...

N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

Utah add states 1 in 24 twist for the 22 in standard STX and 1 in 16 on the heavy. No listing at all for the 177. My 177 heavy has 1 in 18 lasered on the barrel. When i was firing NSA 20.5 SLUGS I notised they were keyholing. Disappointed in the twist rate. 15 is as big as I can get in my...

N/A .177 for slugs (primarily at least)?!

A friend of mine and a member here John had an idea to shoot slugs, by modifying his Avenger. We purchased a STX 700 mm FX barrel in 177 with 1 in 16 twist. We then built a bushing for the receiver and installed the barrel. It is shooting 15 gr slugs pretty good. I'm getting ready to send it...

    N/A Compacts Only

I use to rat hunt at my father in laws pig farm. No night vision then I used a red light attached to a hat and a FWB 124 with aperture sights. Turned the hat to where it aligned with my sights and had at it. One night I shot a whole tin (Hobby pellets) and missed 4 times. The rats were...

    AEA New Scope Zero Quesion

I wouldn't worry about it. I usually space my rear ring with 2-3 pop can spacers or use Burris Signature Zee rings. I have 4 AEA rifles and some require spacing and some do not. Yours sounds OK to me.

N/A Any high end pumpers around?

I had a Savage stock that was hollow. I cut two graphite shafts from arrows placed them in center and taped them in place looking like a small V, Then filled it with foam. I don't know if the shafts help any but it couldn't hurt.

I've used these guys for years. You also will need a valve tool. https://www.bakerairguns.com/product/benjamin-310-seal-kits/ https://www.bakerairguns.com/product/valve-tool-for-benjamin-sheridan/ I would also get a new hammer spring. Makes a difference.

Quickest way remove the shroud. Take a pair of needle noise vise grips and clamp the rod that ties the bolt to the piston with medium pressure. Turn the rod counter clockwise to the bolt thread. Once out of the bolt you can thread the piston in and out. Allow for the distance the rod will...

Yes I have mine adjusted out for a stronger cycle for cold weather. You can speed up or slow down the cycle with adjusting the drum. The drum is the blow back devise that works your semi auto function. Closer to the end of the barrel the stronger the cycle. If you are have problems with it...

    Other Low powered .25?

I bought a BSA Buccaneer in 25 cal a few years back. It would shoot a 25 gr pellet at around 700 fps. I killed everything up to racoon size game easily with it out to 50 yds. I'm not sure if it is made anymore but the Gamo Coyote is the same rifle. For springers I have a Beeman Kodiac 25...
