    HW/Weihrauch Hw30/Olympia Hobby pellet test.

That's really good for cheap pellets. Is that measured and is that average or best? I've tried them years ago when they first came out and I was lucky if any gun got 0.4" at 10 yards in the basement at a table. Maybe they've improved?

N/A Best bang (or plink) for the buck?

The 30 for sure. Get two because you'll never get a turn shooting it :ROFLMAO:

N/A Best bang (or plink) for the buck?

Because they come in plastic sleeves of five or ten depending on pellet type or manufacturer. I didn't even know FTT 5.52s existed.

N/A Best bang (or plink) for the buck?

All the 22 FTTs are always listed as 5,5mm. That's European for 5.5 mm which is generic sizing for 22 cal. FTTs come in more finite sizes. 5.53, 5.54 and 5.55mm. Those sizes are listed on the back label. Some Weihrauch's respond better to one size more than another. I have the best luck 5.54...

Accuracy testing new pellet brands and weights

Here's something I didn't see mentioned. When testing don't shoot five of these and five of that and five of something different again. The barrel will never get properly leaded or seasoned and you're results will be skewed. Depending on the barrel's finish and the pellet's lead alloy it can...

Wal-Mart stop carrying Crosman 22 HP pellets??

I knew something was up with Crosman. I heard something about they stopped selling parts. I wonder if this affects Daisy too. I'm more concerned about losing iconic American companies than the loss of their products. Most of their stuff doesn't interest me.

Are RWS Super H Points accurate??

My 22 Hw50 shot them very accurately. Possibly its best shooting pellet. Killer on squirrels too.

Wal-Mart stop carrying Crosman 22 HP pellets??

I found some at a local Wal-Mart for $6.98 a tin. I bought all (6) they had. This should hold me a little while. My only 22 is my R1 and I'm not in love with it. These are just cheap half decent fodder to run through it at squirrels.

    HW/Weihrauch Hw30/Olympia Hobby pellet test.

Oh yeah! The R10 pellets are great! It's just that they're sometimes hard to find and expensive when you do. I seldom use wadcutters now that my short range pesting stopped. They're fantastic on squirrels under 20 yards from a healthy Hw30.

    Excellent solution!

    HW/Weihrauch 20 cal Frankenrauch at 50.

Thanks. This gun flip flops between liking the FTTs and JSBs. It seems to depend more on the tin in hand.

Your right. Just shy 900fps is plenty flat. That's better than almost all my 177 guns. Any faster than that pellets get squirrelly anyway. Still there's a big difference in trajectory between 900 and 700 fps. Especially on the far end. I had a 22 Hw50 a low 600fps gun and a low 700fps Hw30...

    HW/Weihrauch 20 cal Frankenrauch at 50.

Was shooting the Frankenrauch after dinner tonight. All 5 shot groups at 50 yards. I was pretty happy with these. I shot them counter clockwise starting at the bottom left with the FTTs. Half of the groups could be covered (ctc) with a quarter (2MOA). I'm normally happy with that from a...

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 , the challenge continues

Yeah it was me. I've seen that before. It's the corner of the fixed detent is holding the gun open. You can see the witness mark from the high corner under the breech The witness mark should be even and the full chisel width because it's supposed to sit flat on top of the detent. It's a...

Collating and displaying Garmin Xero data?

Right. But what do you do with the information with the lap top. That's where I'm lost.

Collating and displaying Garmin Xero data?

Had anyone figured out how to do anything to make the Garmin data into something useful. There's very little the app does and the unit functions are extremely limited. The chronograph itself is great but I'm finding it hard to save and sort the data. I thought by now someone smarter than me had...

Wal-Mart stop carrying Crosman 22 HP pellets??

I guess crosman is ending their US pellet production. I'm also guessing Spanish Crosman Pellets are made by Gamo so I'm not hopeful they'll shoot well.

    HW/Weihrauch Hw95s versus Hw98 - pretending to spend money

I have a 177 Hw97K and a 177 Hw95. I also have a R9, a Hw95 and a Hw98 in 20 cal. They all shoot well at times. Sometimes better than the 177 97K. Overall the 177 97K beats them all. It's not my favorite gun to shoot but it'd be the one to shoot if I were to shoot any of them competitively. As...

Wal-Mart stop carrying Crosman 22 HP pellets??

I bought these at a Walmart not long ago but I don't see them listed on their website. Did they stop carrying them in stores?

N/A old man that is newby to air guns

I pretty much agree with most everything you said. Woodchucks are usually a problem and hunted here as nuisance animals in summer. They're seldom over 20lbs but they're tough critters. I'd still personally prefer a firearm over a piston gun for them. I know you're not in the US. Out of...
