    N/A I think I've reached a tipping point...

It seems that I am getting a lot of good suggestions for some fine spring piston rifles. As much as I have always loved them, I think my future is going to be PCP's with only the R7 remaining. I just rebuilt the R7 for the fourth time with a new ARH spring and piston seal. The R7 is so easy...

    N/A I think I've reached a tipping point...

Yep, that's the way I do it but I usually drop every third pellet in the action and have to turn it upside down and shake it out.

But the other shoulder is the weaker one, plus it doesn't help me handle those tiny pellets.

I've done some reading and looking and think either a Wildcat Compact or a Maverick Compact might make a good addition. I would really like to handle them to see how well the feel in the hand.

The 97 has other issues for me, it's heavy and my old fingers really struggle to put those tiny pellets in the barrel. It is one rifle I will really miss though.

    N/A I think I've reached a tipping point...

At 78 I am starting to reach a point where spring piston rifle are not going to work for me much longer. The HW97k is only a five shot rifle before I really struggle to cock it and I can feel the pain in my shoulder and elbow on the first cock. Even my little R7 starts hurting my shoulder and...

    Big business scams

Missouri use to have a law that they had to honor the price on the self. Probably still on the books but I don't think anyone abides by it any more.

Airforce New Talon SS Classic Bottle question

I think the higher pressure you are starting with may be your issue. Most TalonSS rifles seem to have the best shot string between 2500-1700psi. I get about 60 shots in this range at around 740fps using 14.3 gr. .22 caliber pellets.

    Free gun range exist anymore?

Missouri Conservation Dept. has quite a few free ranges, a few are staffed but most are not. I do pick my time when I go to one. Two weeks ago I went to one on a Wednesday morning and sighted in my .223 at 100 yards and my .44 Magnum handgun at 50 yards. I had the range all to myself. I've...

Squirrel season in two days but...

I've been doing some scouting but am finding very few squirrels this year in central Missouri. Anyone else noticing a decline of squirrels?
