I have the same thing in .357 with a 4500 psi tank and Emperor LDC. A true monster. 

The R5 shoots the slugs just fine out of a stock Edgun barrel?

I'd use either FX No-Limits or Burris XTR Signature rings. I have a half a dozen long range varmint guns all with the Burris Signature Zee rings and they've been flawless for 15+ years.
