Not sure who or how SKOUT was machining the barrels, but there’s nothing wrong with the accuracy and hype of these barrels. They definitely shoot extremely well out of the EVOL’s.

We are still going to do some fine tuning. We want to try a heavier hammer weight so we can get the hammer spring backed off, and also see if a faster speed is even more accurate with no spiraling or flyers. We haven’t held for wind yet, or shot any cards for score. That is coming hopefully on...

Oh, I see the difference in the Athlon reticle you recommended v/s the Falcon reticle. I’ve only used MOA, and maybe I just got lucky with the setup, that all the holdovers landed on one of the sub tentions. I do like that Athlon reticle though. Keith

Take a look at the Falcon X50 MOA200 reticle. For Hunter class, this reticle is awesome! I Iove mine.

This group was with the new EVOL HPS 30 shot at 103yds with absolute zero wind. This was the last group of the day. 9 shots with AEA 50gr.

The mini would look better with a full thickness barrel, but Tom designed it this way to be Hunter friendly.

.30 cal. Here is a full 9 shot mag of my last group of the day before EBR. One got away a little, but still a nice group at 103yds. Had just the gun for the first time this day. 925fps with AEA 50gr.

Here is a pic of the new version. This MOA ratchet extension shoots amazing. Took me to 5th in Sportsman never shooting an EVOL and Claudio won the Pro Division. It’s a very good looking gun in person with the fluted barrel. Keith

There is a 1:49 twist in the Sub MOA. Not sure if that will make a difference.

I’m going to order some, and will try in my Panda. If they work, I’ll see if Tom has a lower twist barrel I can test in the EVOL. My guess is as you suggested, they won’t be better than the 50gr. I guess we’ll see as others test them.

Good thing is we know the 45’s and 50’s shoot extremely well. Maybe we’ll get lucky with the 66’s.

True. I suppose it would be better to say in the one day I had to shoot it before the first round, the 50’s performed better at the speed that Tom had the gun set at. The grouping did seem tighter, but I didn’t have the time to try different speeds. You’re correct. Claudi’s was 1:49 with the 50’s.

No. I was shooting the 1:32. It really liked the 50’s. A little too much drift with the 45’s

My wife just got me a 600mm .22 when Utah ran their sale. Can’t have it until Christmas though. Looking forward to setting it up for 50yd bench rest.
