I personally like the shorter version texan . It makes plenty of power in 457 to harvest our Michigan whitetail . as far as grouping when tethered you can expect less than 2” groups at 100 yards with good ammo .

Personally I have found 75 yards to be perfect for the 45 caliber. With a ffp scope I had a 4 moa holdunder at 50 and a 4moa holdover at 100 .

Took the 458 quackenbush out one last time. Shot was 64 yards using a 350 nsa . Shot was a bit higher than I would have liked but did the trick as she never took a step and no follow up was required. Bullet left the gun at a blazing 740 fps and still broke a rib on the way in traveled through...
