No if you have your rifle tuned correctly higher reg pressure will lower the velocity not increase it. You should be tuned on the knee of the reg setting. Meaning the hammer doesnt have enough force to fully open the valve. So if the reg creeps up its going to open less causing lower velocity.

You dont know how to properly tune an unregulated PCP if thats the case. Its not the fault of the unregulated airgun its user error and in this case that would be you. Its best not to make blanket statements about a products fault if you dont fully understand the product and how to correctly use it.

One more thing for the list. DON’T over torque the fastener. I would bet thats number one or second reason next to bad allen keys for the cause of stripped allen heads.

Maybe this will make you feel better. I have two m3’s one setup with the carbon barrel tension system and the other with the factory standard shroud. The standard shroud is very accurate and easily matches the tensioned rifle if not better. I wouldnt spend the money on the tension system again...
