    Today’s post office delivery!

It sure is feeling like Christmas. We’re in the middle of yet another foot of snow falling with no signs of letting up. I shot some pistols today to get me over the hump, those are lovely. Congrats.

Tuning Post your Leshiy 2 tunes

Bringing this one back. Snowed in today, if you can believe that. I haven’t seen a winter this long since I was a kid back in the 80’s. Figured it was about time I dig into the Leshiy. Haven’t used since last fall’s small game hunting season. My regulator hasn’t been touched and remains at the...

    N/A The Cheap Seats

The only sub 300$ I’ve got left is a PP750. Not worth posting any pics. Spent way too much on unnecessary upgrades, plenum with gauge, 12” BSA barrel, spare magazines , picatinny rail adapter and I’m sure there’s more I’m forgetting. I still shoot it every once in a while and it hits what I aim...

JTS My bartered for JTS Airacuda Max .22 Build

What’s the plan with threading the barrel? Are you going to tackle that on your own or send it out? I worked on a few myself and even the most expensive barrels have off centre bores. Make for a real pain when crowning on a lathe.

    Brocock/BRK Commander XR hammer bounce

Is there any air blowing out of that port? Any chance air blowing past the valve stem could be forcing the hammer back enough to preload? Just a thought, never seen one of these rifles. I just checked the forum and it sure seems like a lot of hammer bounce videos on the brocock rifles. None...

    Other Revisiting an old friend

A few months ago I couldn’t resist the urge knowing how good these rifles are. I ended up with a second this time in .22. It is tuned to shoot 18.1 JSB’s @860. I just swap the cylinder from one to the other for the higher shot count. They were both bought here. At used prices for the Canadians...

    Other Revisiting an old friend

I bought this rifle about 6 years ago if my memory serves me correct. When it arrived I couldn’t help but stand back and admire the craftsmanship. Up until that point I had gone through some low end and midrange rifles like the Hatsan , Benjamin, Evanix to name a few and in my mind thought they...

N/A Minimal tuning and accurate pcp rifle?

If I haven’t mentioned it. The HW100 in either caliber or any configuration. Pull it out of the box and shoot it.

    USPS at its finest

Sad state of affairs with the USPS these days. Ordered a few parts ,international freight. Took almost 6 weeks from Texas to Ontario border. The package was lost in Indianapolis sorting facility for three weeks. And I thought Canada post had problems.

    HW/Weihrauch What a difference a seal makes.

Over the years I bought a few dozen seals from ARH. The first few were failures as I really didn’t have a clue on how to fit a seal. I’m still no master at fitting them but have gotten a lot better. I’ve tried two ways to fit them, turning them down in a lathe and sanding the face down. I think...

N/A .22 slugs high shot count

the more power you want to have the more air it’s going to take. That’s more than evident. There are a lot of bottle guns that maintain a high shot count at reasonable power. In .22 I’d stick to 30 grain or less and pick a rifle with a non choked barrel. Possibly a RAW HM1000X if that’s too rich...

JTS Custom "Button" trigger & "Cocking Knob" for the JTS Airacuda custom build.

Ghetto or not I’m digging that trigger. The one thing I can’t stand on the HW100’s is the plastic trigger blades. Rowan makes a real nice piece but I can’t justify the cost. This looks like it may do the trick. Again I can’t believe how well thought out the JTS rifles are. Even the cocking...

American Air Arms Oops I did it again

A few finishing touches. The rifle was received with sling studs but no spacers or the white trim rings. I don’t like the white rings so I made a couple out of delrin with a slightly bigger diameter and profiled to match the stock. Then moved onto fitting a picatinny rail on the section of m...

    WIKA 1” gauge

That’s all I’ve been able to find also. 28mm , I’m looking for 25mm . I might have to venture into the digital gauge scene. I really don’t want to as I’ve read quite a few bad reviews from just about every maker.

Evanix Evanix Windy City Fill probe

I wouldn’t use felt that would more than likely cause inaccuracy. Any chance the barrel shroud is off centre? As for the pellets, they are from air ventury, if you have retailers that import their stuff , they can more than likely get them.

    WIKA 1” gauge

Does anyone know if these are even a thing. I can find all kinds of 28mm but nowhere do I see a 25mm. There are lots of 25mm/1” Huma gauges available from just about every airgun retailer but I would much prefer WIKA.

    Let’s see them work benches

Beautiful work. The older I get the more I appreciate the wood and steel work. I was into the whole tacticool thing for a while and they do have their place but they no longer appeal to me. I’m currently in the no more airguns phase. Too many to shoot on a regular basis. Oh ya , nice work...

That is an impressive collection of “plinkers”. Who’s making your stocks ?

Evanix Evanix Windy City Fill probe

Good looking rifle. Had one a few years ago. Sold it off to fund another. They are good shooters , once you get it figured out get yourself some Seneca 28 grain pellets ( assuming it’s .22 caliber) they love them.

American Air Arms Oops I did it again

Got back from shooting about an hour ago. Gusting wind right to left at about 10 mph. Shooting from a tripod in knee deep snow at 50 yards. The MRD shallows show some promise at 940 fps , I hope to get out to the range with a proper rest. I’m left asking myself why Tom would choose pink for the...
