    O Ring sizer

I tried that picture taking app a few times and it was pretty accurate. Good lighting, and good picture taking is the key, but it worked well. I would have to do it a few times and get the same size to feel comfortable ordering. BUT, I have sworn off any airgun that does not publish sizes. I...

    Any guns you regret buying"

Two rifles come to mind, and it will surprise a lot of people. To be honest, these two just didn't flip my switch, and a lot of people really like them....just not for me. First, AA HFT500, I actually tried this gun twice, thinking it would grow on me, but it didn't. It looks good, checks a lot...

    FX Crown/Dreamline magazine questions

I have a Crown and DL tactical, and got some QD Fox mags on trade. The factory mags work fine in both rifles, no problems at all. The Fox mags work in the Crown and are a solid tight fit. But the DT is another story, they will try to fall out when cycling the bolt. The DT seems to have a much...

Looks like the Caldwell Velociradar is available to ship just now

Before I bought my Garmin, I contacted Caldwell and asked questions about it working with airguns. I got an email back that was not encouraging. It said that smaller projectiles, like pellets, could be problematic. Certainly not the, "heck yeah, it works" I was looking for. The Garmin never...

How many people have more than one PCP?

I had 11 for a while, but realized I couldn't get around to shooting that many, so I sold one. Hey, that was a big step! Then I sold two. Whew! That was rough! You guessed it, then I sold three, almost didn't survive that! Lastly, I traded two for one, so I'm now at four. That seems a...

    N/A 1k budget. First PCP

I would imagine you could peruse the classifieds here and find a great air rifle for around your budget. I've even seen Impacts for $1k, but I'm not sure that's a good 1st pcp, although I wouldn't let it stop me.

    N/A The Cheap Seats

My shooting pal has an Avenger and I gotta say, it's hard not to love it. The thing shoots as good or better than some guns costing many times the price. A little work on the trigger and it even makes my demand of having a very good trigger. What's not to like.

    Can you fill past 500cc

They are really just telling you that it's for filling rifle size cylinders and not scuba or scba cylinders. 580cc are fine, it'll never know the difference. The big concern is heat. If you run a small, rifle filling only, compressor for long periods of time it will overheat the seals an toast...

    What reticle do you prefer?

I like some form of mild christmas tree, but it has to have numbers for quick aquisition of the proper hold. Especially in dark backgrounds, you can get lost in the reticle fairly easily. Hawke's AMD is pretty good but needs numbers. As I get older a lighted reticle is almost a must.

Other New to PCP rifles need help :)

Are you wanting to use lead-free ammo? If so, even I would have to do some research, as that's a whole nother can of worms. Now, if you're going with an Impact with lead, then that's highly doable. As mentioned, the Impact is not a good first pcp, but that's not to say it's out of the realm of...

    Economic fear or inflation?

Nothing is selling as of late. Just wondering why nothing is selling in the classifieds? Or am I wrong and just the odd stuff is not moving.

    FX Royale 400 - AoA

Wow! Beautiful. I had one new model and one 1st gen, great guns I foolishly let go. They are super rifles and you're lucky, as if I'd seen it on AOA, it'd be living at my house. I do like the versatility of the Crown, so it is my favorite FX. I like being able to tune on the fly.

What scope magnification do you like to shoot and why?

I almost always shoot at 10x and once in a while 12x, that's why I use mostly fixed power scopes. I have a 4-16x, a 5-20x, a 3-12x, and a 6-24x and even those normally get used at 10x or 12x, even when I shoot at 100 yards.

What is Acceptable Percentage of Error for a Guage

I just found this thread while running into a situation with gauges myself. First, some background, I've never had what you call really accurate gauges. In one sense, what is a "really accurate" gauge?...any gauge can be off, even a really good one. So, normally, if my gauges on my compressor...
