I suppose my first purchase should be a chronograph since I don’t own one. I’m looking at a CE DLX but didn’t see many PCP user reviews?

Perhaps off topic but you guys seem to know a lot about the Maximus; will a Discovery stock fit on my Maximus? I would love to get a Boyd stock for it - I think that would improve accuracy more than a new trigger. Thanks! 

I figured out my problem. I didn’t have it shoved on the barrel far enough. Re-installed this morning and it was only 1 inch low. Re-zeroed and shot a pretty good 25 meter WRABF target. When in doubt, read and follow instructions. 

I received moderator and put it on my Maximus today. It helped reduced the noise but it was more than 4” off!!! I shot it before I installed and it was dead on a 25 meters And after I removed it it was near back on - 1/4” high. Is this normal? I didn’t attempt to tune it with it that far off...

As per the link / I cocked before filling and had no issue today. I had forgotten it can be uncocked like a hammer type firearm. 

Why does the Benjamin owner manual instructions on filling state to make sure the gun is uncocked before filling? 

Thanks for that link! I will try that , hopefully today. So, if I cock it I will need to dry fire or fire it before storing right?

Hmmm, I can’t unplug it as long as it has pressure against the hose so I don’t understand how speed would have anything to do with it. It puzzles me how when I pump it back up after loosing the air attempting to bleed, it holds. And the gun doesn’t loose any air even after a few days. 

Thanks! Wow, the gun is only about 2 months old. Not very promising. I am beginning to have 2nd thoughts about PCP’s.

The last two times I filled my Maximus it keeps bleeding air from the gun when I open the release valve on my Hill pump. After I close it off and pump up again it works properly. Is it the gun or the pump? Thanks in advance for help!

My Maximus had a leak at the threads on the fill port and it didn’t show up with soapy water. I used some Prolix pump spray - to remove soapy water and that showed the bubbles and leak. I put the yellow gas type Teflon and it stopped leaking. 

My yellow Teflon tape came in, 2 days holding 3000 psi. Thanks so much for your advice! I have a Beeman that was leaking too. I thought I would do the same thing but it has an o-ring. Not such a brilliant idea! It has to turn with the fill nipple as it’s screws in. I put silicone grease on the...

By the way, what is the black tape that Crosman uses to wrap the threads? 

Thanks, I will check that out. Mine is only leaking at the threads of the fill nipple. It seems to me it would have been better to have a seal of some sort there instead of metal to metal but who am I to reinvent the wheel. This is my first experience with PCP. I have been working on guns and...

Thanks, the gun is still new and Crosman is sending me one but I thought I could repair it while waiting to receive the parts. I am a bit concerned that if I have to screw the nipple in the new one it will leak also. Will it come assembled and the nipple tight you think?

I have a leak at the threads where the fill nipple screws in. I tried putting Teflon tape but it still leaks there. Is there something else I can try to safely seal it with. I appreciate any help!

Do you happen to know who the Alexandria folks are? I live in Boyce and would be interested in joining them.
