Great Service from Airguns of Arizona on my recent purchase

Just a shout out to recognize the outstanding service I got from AOA on my recent purchase. The scope mount that came with my "package gun" was not compatible with the rifle. AOA substituted a mount of comparable value that solved the problem. I was able to talk to and actual human being who...

Short review of Diana AM03 Stealth Combo

A friend of mine also bought the same combo last week and he has the same problem with the scope mount being incompatible due to elevation correction. Outside of that, I like the rifle. It does seem to be a little fussy on pellets, but I have not tried a big selection as yet.

Short review of Diana AM03 Stealth Combo

I recently purchased this combo package from AOA. I believe that it is exclusive to them. The combo consist of the Diana rifle, a 3-9x40 Diana scope with front A/O, an RWS "Bulleye" scope mount, and a very nice gun case for $429.00 The rifle has an adjustable cheek piece, which I found to be...

Hand pumps: are the Hill Mk5 pumps worth the extra expense?

I see that Hill has a pump called the Spartan on their website that sells for around $100. No gauge, but it seems redundant if your rifle has a gauge. I don't see anywhere to buy one in the US, unless one want to pay shipping from the UK, which kind of destroys the economy of it.

    RWS lockdown failure

I had the same thought. As well as drilling out the RWS mount and putting a larger stop pin in it for the 5MM hole the the Parrus.

    $100 or less magnum.springer scope?

I had one of these Tasco scopes on my Parrus and it lasted about 300 shots before the reticle let loose. I actually bought wtwo of them, and put on an an old RWS24 that I have. In addition the the reticle failure on the Parrus I also noticed the the focus ring ion both scopes was pretty sloppy...

    RWS lockdown failure

Hey all, I recently bought a Walther Parrus in .177. I installed a scope on it with a 2 piece mount and quickly found out what the term "barrel droop" means. I ordered and in stalled an RWS lockdown mount with barrel droop compensation and torqued and Loctite the bolts. After shooting it a bit...

Hand pumps: are the Hill Mk5 pumps worth the extra expense?

New to PCP, have not even bought a PCP rifle yet, but kind of tires of destroying scopes with a powerful springer. Looking at the portable filling options, it seems lie a manual pump might be the best choice for me, at least for right now. In the bit of research that I have done the Hill pumps...

Scope mounting on a magnum springer, and problems with flyers

I'm kind of surprised that its groups better with the 7.4 pellets too. the 10 gain Crossmans shoot loose in this particular gun. Need to get some quality pellets that are heavier and give it a go

Springer air rifle for $300 or less

If your Parrus is not grouping well, especially flyers stringing vertically take a look a this post. Scope mounting on a magnum springer, and problems with flyers

I think I figured out the problem with the low flyers on the Parrus. You guys who were talking about barrel lockup were correct, but not because of a dirty breech. Turns out that the two screws that secure the forearm of the stock to the action were impinging on the cocking linkage when it was...

Scope mounting on a magnum springer, and problems with flyers

Thanks all, I have tried some 10 grain pellets but got better groups with the 7.4 gr ones with the exception of the fliers. I'll have to order some of the13.4 grain and try them. I do have another identical scope I can try on it and i will check the barrel lock up to see if there is anything...

Scope mounting on a magnum springer, and problems with flyers

Hey All, While I'm an experienced firearm instructor, competitive shooter and armorer ofr I 'm pretty new to the forum and to air gun shooting. I recently acquired a Walther Parrus in .177. It isn't my dream gun, but it was what I could get my hands on that seemed like an economical place to...

Springer air rifle for $300 or less

Make sure you get a barrel droop compensation mount like the RWS Lockdown or similar. Scope needs to be able to stand up to the recoil of a magnum springer. It will take some break-in before the rifle settles down and you can really determine which pellets it likes, so I would just shoot...

Springer air rifle for $300 or less

Seems like I remember seeing some Sig Sauer ASP20 rifles on sale for 299 before Christmas....not sure if they can be had for that anymore. It was one that I was and still am interested in. I opted for the Parrus just because it seems like a great value, (which I still think it is), and I figured...

Springer air rifle for $300 or less

I went with the .177, but I didn't intend to shoot small game or anything other than targets with it. I thought it would like heavier pellets with the higher velocity, but my best groups have been with 7 -7.4 grain pellets with the ones I have on hand, but there are many other options that...

Springer air rifle for $300 or less

Sights are good if you like the fiber optic format. Unfortunately, for my old eyes I need optics. If you go that route make sure you get a barrel droop compensating scope mount. I used the RWS model. My only knock is that there is only one hole in the Parrus receiver for the locking pin, and it...

Springer air rifle for $300 or less

I just bought a Walther Parrus with a wood stock for $179 . you can get the syn. stock version for 149. It is accurate, hits hard, and looks like quality build. Only knock is the trigger, but only by comparison to guns selling for twice as much. It's only adjustable for the first stage, and the...
