Maybe I am reading this wrong but that sounds backwards to me. If the Huma is set at the lowest setting then no matter what pressure I set the external reg at then it will still only be at the pressure of the Huma that is in the rifle.

Perfect, that is exactly what I was looking for.

The safety never really bothered me until I did a little winter shooting using gloves. I also wonder if removing the safety will make the trigger feel any differently. On my powder burners used for benchrest, the best triggers never use a safety.

I am wondering if anyone has removed the safety on their HM1000X? I use my RAW for benchrest only and have no need for the safety. I haven't taken the trigger group out of the rifle in a long time and can't remember if it easily comes out with a pin or if its even possible.
