    100 yards and beyond…?

I didn't have a choice, ok I did have a choice, stop splatting ground squirrels or spend a modest fortune on airguns. Darn canine on premises didn't like the bang from my A17. Then I had to learn to shoot 50 yards for MOS (Minute of Squirrel) then out to 125 yards, again zero choice, wide open...

FX FX Maverick Compact .30 Cal - First shots review

You 'MAY' have to give them a bit of a LIGHT sanding but, they do wear in after a few goes, so patience. Forgot to mention I use silicon 0-rings on the FX magazines with a touch of superglue.

    AEA/JTS Pellets and Fouling

I haven't experienced any fouling but then I'm not looking for it. As for saying AEA/JTS. IMHO they are not the same, doing a consecutive 10 shot string of both the AEA's group noticeable better. again MHO

BUT we generally have nice weather so we can shoot more. I have a dream and it doesn't involve being blue.

Other Just how much must I pay for "Accuracy" in a PCP gun?

I keep them in a case because my garage is a f'n mess. I take them out of the case in the garage, and haul them outside, sometimes that that lovely carrying handle they call a scope, or by the barrel, or by the grip, and usually I bump the barrel. The POI 'issue' isn't 'widely reported' those...

N/A Help on selecting first air rifle

Quiet isn't a real issue, we can have moderators. PCP's are a whole different breed from PR, think of them like trying to shoot 1 moa at 1,000 yards with a 5.56, ok cancel that I've seen it done but it's not easy. Your budget will get you in the door, it's all down the Rabbit Hole® from...

Aea 30.2 and 49.2 long range slugs .25

30.2gr .087 at 963fps 63º the 49.2 is the same. Measured with my FX True Ballistic at 25 yards. Did it a bunch of times and days, to verify, comes up the same every time..

    N/A Matt Dubber

Next thing is to tune the people to shoot like Matt. OK, .22 boat tail slugs, I can't get the volume up right now but were they about 50 grains? Takes a heck of a lot of air to get them moving, but he had gravity working with him. Not to discount the shot but every little detail counts.

Other Just how much must I pay for "Accuracy" in a PCP gun?

Firstly, welcome to the Rabbit Hole®. If you are expecting one ragged hole at 50 yards, then I doubt you'll find anything that will do it, close but you know the thing about horseshoes and hand grenades. Do yourself a favor and get some AEA pellets, I really should get the franchise for them...

FX FX Maverick Compact .30 Cal - First shots review

Here's the story, I bought a .25 sniper, pre-destroyed, officially a POS, name something wrong and it was there, first owner was an idiot. I converted it to a .22 compact, my experimental gun. I'm 85% sure I never changed out the hammer, old and memory are two things that don't go together...

FX FX Maverick Compact .30 Cal - First shots review

"Just wondering, what size bottle did you put on that .22? I get around 25 shots on the factory bottle before going off the reg. I don't feel that is bad, but I would always like to have more." It's off of a .25 Sniper if memory serves, and good luck on that. No wait, I put the sniper bottle...

Yes and no, I kept the .25 hammer in the .22, no real issues, my SD isn't 0 but it's not horrible. My shot count is excellent.

Oh boy are you in for a treat. Todays hint, tighten up the two little set screws on the clocking block, as snug as you can get them without messing them up, be careful. Get ready for fun with your regs., easy fixes, all well documented here. Personally I'm not sure I'd have gone with a .30...

Please - Need suggestions for scope rings

Sarc,. alert. I'm surprised you got the FX NO Limits to work at all, mine are in a dump somewhere, literally couldn't get enough torque on them to tighten the slop, had to resort to shims, didn't even make good paperweights. I spent a bit more and got, Eagle Visions, nice, precision made, work...

eBay restrictions on California buyers - I’ve had enough!

Ditto for CA. BUT some individual sellers with half a functional brain will do it no issue. I tried to get a laminate stock for my Savage .17 HMR, nope not happening, it's 'restricted' yeah maybe but...not where I live, hunted around found a little shop just over then border in Nevada and...

Yep, to the best of my knowledge, as long as you don't accept payment, you aren't a 'business'. That's not saying you don't have to be careful. In my case I have to be VERY careful, I'm actually shooting towards a road, slightly elevated but there are still vehicles/bicycles. One of the...

    FX How many rings…..

I have a 600 mav, with the CF bonded zippo issues, the 500 mav has the liner floating, it was a snug/slip fit, it also is working fine.

    FX How many rings…..

Gut feeling is, a few. They just keep the shroud off of the liner. If you use a carbon fiber sleeve for the soda straw you don't use 0-rings. Won't hurt to have a few extras, give it a try and see what happens.

    Rookie Mistakes?

Hey, bought a Big 5 Remington Nitro, it was safer standing in front than being behind it. Couldn't hit a darn thing, off by a mile, literally. Turns out the barrel was bent. Got it straighten out, got a decent Bug Buster scope that tolerates this style of air gun and it was sort of ok. Then...
