FX FX .25 Impact MkII to M3 upgrade

Wow! Thats impressive for an MkII!. I have the pin probe, heavier hammer spring, lighter valve spring and slug barrel port. I will have to look into modifying the power block. I took a 35 lb bobcat that had already killed a few of my laying hens. She was at about 45 yards one night and I was...

FX FX .25 Impact MkII to M3 upgrade

What exactly did you machine on the FX to get the most power? How much were you able to get out of it? I have a feeling like the MkII could probably be pushed to almost 100 ft-lbs in .25 with a few tweaks... Mine is currently on Power setting 3 with the reg at 148bar. I could bump the reg up to...

FX FX .25 Impact MkII to M3 upgrade

Hi all, I don't post a lot on here, but I have been a member for some time. My question is pretty simple. I have a .25 FX MkII Impact, tuned with the slug power mod and set up to push a custom swaged (Corbin) BT 45 grain slug to around 920fps for about 84 ft-lbs. I am considering going up to...

Yong Heng oil in first stage condensate drain

Thank you. Yes I only barely fill to the recommended volume. I have no oil in the second stage but there was a little in the first. I will keep an eye on it.

Yong Heng oil in first stage condensate drain

So I changed the oil in the compressor with new synthetic. I think it has always had oil in the condensate but until the oil reached a certain shade of brown, it just wasn't apparent. With new oil the color went away. Thank you all for all your input!

Yong Heng oil in first stage condensate drain

Yeah but it is need of a change at this point. I won't run it any more until I do that.

Yong Heng oil in first stage condensate drain

Yeah it is an AC condenser coil. There are 8 80mm 12v cpu fans placed in symmetric rows that move a lot of air. So much so that the coolant comes back into the tank at basically room temperature. I am thinking of putting a peltier device with heat sink on the return line to progressively drop...

Yong Heng oil in first stage condensate drain

Haha yeah it is sitting in front of my TIG welder which is huge. The cart sits pretty level. Maybe i never noticed oil in it because i am using husky oil and when it is new, it is clear. But as it has aged, it gains some color and is more apparent in the condensate...

Yong Heng oil in first stage condensate drain

Compressor is sitting mostly level. It might be off by a few degrees. Does it matter if it isnt totally level?

Yong Heng oil in first stage condensate drain

Oil level looks ok. But it might be time for a change... its pretty brown. The condensate puts out a mixture of oil and water. (Like maybe two drops) on the first stage. 2nd stage is just water condensate.

Yong Heng oil in first stage condensate drain

Hi all, I have a yong heng setup. Recently I am getting some oil mixed into my first stage condensate. Is this typical of these compressors after theyve been used a bit? It probably have maybe 15 hours on it. Thank you much!

    Your gateway drug PCP?

Hatsan Flash .25. I bought it and immediately started tinkering... I put a huma reg in it with the larger plenum, donnyFL tanto, then opened up the air port a little. In its stock form, it was putting out 38 ft-lbs with 33.95 JSBs unregulated. I had it up to 41 ft-lbs, but regulated with NSA...

    Tuning Impact tuning question

I am using the standard liner that came with my gun. I am pretty sure the new ones ship with the superior liner, but don't quote me on that. I am assuming it is the pellet liner though, but it seems to shoot these slugs just fine.

    Tuning Impact tuning question

I did use the light spring that came with the kit. Here are my settings: After I installed the high flow port and the slug kit, the gun was still setup for my original tune of the same 33.5 NSA at 940. Hammer was maxed and valve was at 3.5. First shot was 1015fps. I backed the hammer down until...

    Tuning Impact tuning question

Hello all, I am new here, but have been lurking for a while. been getting a wealth of information so when I finally got my impact, I would understand how to tune it properly. between here and Ernest Rowe, I got a wealth of knowledge. So, I got my FX Impact, 700mm in .25 with the power plenum...
