Tuning My Daystate Needs a Heavier Trigger!

Thank you for that advice. I'm on a couple of suppliers sites and learning more about springs than I ever thought possible, lol!

Tuning My Daystate Needs a Heavier Trigger!

Don't laugh! So this Daystate Huntsman Regal I bought 2nd hand shoots great, but the trigger is breaking at around 10 ounces, even after I followed Daystate's instructions on increasing the sear engagement. This is fine off the sandbags, but due to some mild nerve damage in my hands, this...

    Thinking About De-tuning a Beast

Well, I think I'll drop the ARH low power kit in it and see what happens. Everything was deburred and lube-tuned when I replaced the broken OEM spring, and it's really smooth and has a nice shot cycle with the factory innards - I just can't seem to shoot it! Frustrating, because my R9 in .22...

    Thinking About De-tuning a Beast

My first real airgun I ever bought is a Beeman R10 in .177 I picked up in 1990, IIRC. Still have it, and it has occasionally surprised me with some good groups, but I've never been able to shoot it consistently well. In my journal I have a pair of back to back groups shot with 8.3 grain...

What if you love the scope but not the reticle??

Story of my life! Most are too small for me, for hunting anyways.... Would love my SWFA 6x to have a normal duplex style reticle.

I might have to have a PCP

All I've ever owned were springers...........until a couple weeks ago. Got a lightly used Daystate Huntman Regal XL and it's been a real eye opener. Takes about 5 minutes to top it off with a pump, and it's stupidly easy to shoot. It really is a completely different experience. I'm not getting...

    R9 Velocities in .22

I've got an old West Germany marked R10 in .177 that I shoot horribly. I keep it because of sentimental reasons only, I was stationed in West Germany a long time ago. I should sell it, but think I'll try a 12fpe kit in it and see if it shapes up for me. I've done no work to it except replace a...

    Deadly Venom

Really nice rig, and shooting, too! Seeing stuff like this just makes me realize I have much to learn. And that I need to shoot more..... Regards,

    R9 Velocities in .22

It's got Vortek everything inside now, including the piston seal. Someday I may take it apart again and add a spacer, but I've got about 37,284 other projects ahead of it that I need to get done first. Anymore, when I get time to mess with these things all I want to do is shoot them!

    R9 Velocities in .22

Well, I feel better knowing it's about where it should be. The kit I put in didn't come with any spacers that I can recall. I think I'll just leave it where it is for now. Got a new PCP to play with anyways! 😁 Thanks to everyone for your feedback!

    R9 Velocities in .22

Hi All, Just my second post here. So, I've got a Beeman R9 in .22 that has a Vortek kit in it with maybe 1500 shots since the installation. My average speed with H&N FTT's (14.66gr.) is exactly 700 fps. My velocity spread (standard deviation) is only like 3 fps, which is way lower than my...

    Hello Dark Side!

Oh sweet, I've got two big cans of Ballistol. Love it and use it on just about everything. The smell is a little rich though, lol. I kinda look at the Daystate as my retirement gift to myself, 15 years early. Might as well enjoy it while you can kinda thing.

    Hello Dark Side!

Hey All, just registered after spending much time here looking around. Got my first PCP recently, just shot it today. A slightly, lightly used Daystate Huntsman Regal XL in .22 caliber. Pulled a 6X SWFA off a 6.5 Creedmoor, put her on the Daystate and think I'll leave it at that for awhile...
