As others have said I see no reason to try and have more power. I’ve got a .177 model 48 and while it’s not particularly hold sensitive as to where you hold it it is sensitive as to how hard you hold it. I imagine more power than that and it would be so sensitive to shoot it wouldn’t be nearly...

I just feel that the .25 makes the most sense as a do it all gun. It’s not too big and loud, it’s not much more expensive to shoot than other small bores, and it’s a solid performer for target shooting or hunting.

I sure wish a whole lot more people would try some backyard plinking. Where it’s legal of course. If more people did I feel like the shooting sport as a whole would be on a lot more solid ground than what it is now.

I figure there’s no way to replace the diabolo shaped projectile due to the fact that it loses its energy very fast and many times that’s the whole purpose of using an air gun vs a powder burner. Sometimes I wonder where these claims by manufacturers that they have just made something obsolete...

I’ve got a unique hawk that hangs one leg down as it flies around my property has been here for at least 4 years maybe more. Never seen one that’s healthy hang a leg like that but I guess God creates us all a little different even the animals.

I can’t attest to using that particular setup but if you crank the power up and send them supersonic then yes it would be louder from the supersonic crack but as long as you’re using relatively the same amount of air and they still fly subsonic noise shouldn’t be an issue
