40ES is high..short range it doesnt matter, alot of airgunners never go past 40yds. Those of us that shoot further all the time or aim for varmint eyeballs at 60yds, the smaller ES the better.

AEA is not reliable, Karma is remade AEA for more money and Hatsan is just junk. Lol, AGT vulcan 3 or Uragan 2 for .30 power. AGT Netvor, Daystate Wolverine, FX Panthera. Tons of options for better pcps to use.

Man, sounds like more of a problem with where it was purchased. Wildcat is not much different in the aspect of leak prone. Maybe look into trading to another manufacturer. M3 and MK2 are the best FX rifles. Light, powerful and accurate.
