4500 psi is not a strange upper limit from a company that also sells a lot of tanks rated for a max of 4500 psi . . . Having that as the peak level, but allowing it to be set lower for tanks rated to a lower pressure level would be very logical in my book, not strange . . .

I don't have the pistol, but I do have both a Huben K1 and Sidewinder in .22 cal. I find the Huben to be the better gun - much better trigger, quieter action even at more power (and this matters as your head is pressing right there on it - it is loud!), and generally of a higher build quality...

7.5K burst discs are commonly used on 4500 psi tanks . . . that is the size on mine, and on both of my Shoebox compressors.

The Beasts won't fit the magazine, but can be single loaded. The issue you will have is that they are too heavy to shoot at any decent speed without power modifications - like higher flow valves and bigger porting. Power tunes in the Marauder are simply not enough for a pellet this heavy.

Then there is also the question of what the gun in question likes or does not like - I have a .22 Sidewinder that I would love to get to shoot well at 800 fps and under, but there is no ammo that it likes at the lower speeds. It only shoots well above 875 fps, and even better from 900-950 fps...

BlackICE gave you a great estimate on the initial fill of the tank, but remember that you only do that once - after that, you are topping it off only (at least until you decide to drain it for an inspection at some point). The key thing that drives how long you run your compressor for refills...

I'll second what @blackdog899 said - don't confuse the length of run time with working hard. When you consider the max rated fill pressure and duty cycle run time of the CS4, it is not straining at all to refill a 6.8L tank. In full disclosure, I don't have one, but have the even slower...

Thanks for the info. I'm very interested in one. Every time I pick up my ~13 year old Air Ranger I'm blown away by how great it is . . . I can't imagine how much better the Black Wolf could be after all those refinements . . .

Not all Athlon scopes do that well - I have an Argos 8-34 that is rated to focus down to 15 yards, but it can't do that well at full zoom (which technically means it can't do it at all, but is "usable" at 15 yards at ~half magnification or lower). I don't find it truly clear at 34X until about...

@EPG That is an impressive fill time on the tank. Nice compressor. Just for reference, I calculated how much water vapor was in the air you compressed. Based on the info you provided, you compressed roughly 1/3 of a cubic meter of air into that tank, and that air would have carried roughly...

Just my opinion, but a best "all around" scope for me would be SFP, not FFP . . . I'd want a wide zoom range on it, and it would get used at both extremes of magnification. I bought a wide zoom FFP scope to try and I find the reticle so small at minimum zoom that it simply does not function...

Don't give up on that molecular sieve just yet - from what you describe it is doing its job perfectly. You should never expect any water droplets inside it, or after it since it's job is to adsorb the water vapor. What you are doing before it is great - you are getting rid of the condensed...
