How do you fill your PCP?

I fill my rifle directly with a cheap portable Chinese compressor. I have shot about 10,000 pelleted with it and it is still working fine. I generally pump my rifle to 4000 psi

    PCP Rifle 2020 Huben K1 .22 $1,150 Shipped

I bought this rifle on this forum from CMATERA (great guy btw) about 18 months ago with the intent of using it for pesting/hunting. However, all I have done is some plinking in the backyard. It's too much rifle for casual plinking and I haven't had time for hunting so I have decided to sell...

    Great targets

I like ice cubes as well, but I make mini-popsicles by putting popsicle sticks in an ice tray (I use a piece of cardboard with slits in it to keep the sticks straight up). Then I hang them by the sticks with paper clamps on a horizontal rod. Great explosions and they spin a little as well. ...

Good modern hand pumps for our PCP rifles and pistols? Or, cheap air compressor?

I went through same analysis as you. I went with a cheap portable compressor for about $285. So far, I have 95 fills and get about 60 shots per fill on my Avenger 22. Each fill takes about 6 minutes so I have about 9.5 hours of run time. Folks on this forum say you can only expect about 20...

    PCP air rifle setup

I was in the same position as you 8 months ago. I got an Avenger in .22 cal, a $250 compressor, a $150 scope, a $35 bipod and 2000 Crosman Hollow Point pellets for about $28. I have no regrets at all! A ton of fun! I have filled the gun with the compressor 92 times so far (60 shots per fill...

    Pellet trap

I also use the el cheap cardboard box filled with rags/clothes (although I recently upgraded to an old plastic storage box). However, I shoot into the open side of the box and hold everything into the box with landscape fabric that covers the box on the open side and is duct taped to sides of...

    Hello from Arizona

Hello Scott - I'm in Goodyear and recently waded into the PCP waters. Let me know if you want to shoot some time. Brad

    What Attracts You To Airguns?

My wife has asked me the same question - why do you do it? Where is the fun in it? I just said, I don't know, but all I know is that it's a lot of fun and addicting.

6 months in the works. Welcome to my den

I'm envious! The only thing I'm not envious of is the quantity of great rifles. If I had all those options I would have serious paralysis of analysis. I wouldn't ever be able to choose which one to shoot.

    Cheap compressors - my perspective

Biohazardman - good point! My local dive shop is 15 minutes away and they only fill to 3,000psi. I usually fill to 4,000psi (trying to take it a bit easy on the compressor).

    Cheap compressors - my perspective

I see a lot of debate about the value proposition of buying cheap Chinese compressors. Main complaints seem to be 1) lack of parts 2) lack of warranty and 3) they only last about 20 hours of run time. I bought a $290 no name compressor from Alibaba about 4 months ago and I have filled my rifle...

O-Ring Delete kits/Youtube videos for Air Venturi Avenger

I bought the O ring delete kit from STKO (shoot to kill outdoors) a couple of months ago. I didn't have a problem with the O rings, but his video made sense. I installed it (took less than a minute) and it works fine although I don't notice it being more air efficient or more accurate.

Looking for the perfect pellet trap, QUIET

I wrap my pellet trap with landscape fabric to hold everything in place. The fabric is very thin so it doesn't really make much of a sound a pellet goes through it. It is also very cheap. I usually duct tape the fabric to itself, so it can act as a "sleeve" around the pellet trap. I just...

    Feedback Cmatera great seller

I bought a Huben from him. He was great to work with and he was very patient with my lack of expertise on PayPal. I couldn’t have had a better experience and I’m LOVING the Huben.

    Nitrogen vs compressed air

Thanks for all the helpful info! I think I will just get a compressor and deal with any maintenance issues that come up.

Is .22 vs .25 and .30 accuracy settled?

I like .22 - they are accurate, easy to find (especially Crossman hollowpoints at Walmart) and cheap. At 1 to 3 cents per shot, cost doesn't even enter the equation on a 1,000 shots per month.

What caliber PCP's do you have and why?

I like 22 cal since it is enough to take down any of my varmints (squirrels and gophers). Also, pellets are cheap and relatively plentiful.

    Regulated or unregulated?

I just got into PCP rifles. Based on my research, it just seemed logical to get a regulated rifle - especially now that you can get a regulated PCP sub $500. The consistency is excellent.

    Nitrogen vs compressed air

Is nitrogen a viable/practical alternative to compressed air? I have a welding supply shop a few minutes from home, but haven't checked into cost.

Tuning New Barrel Band for Avenger

Has anyone tried Black Arts Design barrel band for the Avenger? It is supposed to be superior to the standard band by eliminating the POI shift and constant need to re-zero the scope.
