Sheridan A trip down "SHERIDAN RD"

Very nice display. Sad to see the pumpers discontinued. 75 years of American history. Started with one and plan on finishing with, well several.

Sheridan Am I now an honorary American?

The triggers on the original Sheridan models are the easiest to make real nice. But once learned, they all can be made very good. My only beef with the original Sheridan is the small youth stock and one single caliber choice. Although a good one. Benjamin actually made great improvements on the...

Broken hatsan 130QE mine is like it's cocked but will not shoot ever heard of this before?

If the gun is cocked and will not fire, you may have the rear stock screw to tight. If the screw is to tight the safety does not function properly.

Broken hatsan 130QE mine is like it's cocked but will not shoot ever heard of this before?

You have a broken trigger spring. When this tiny spring breaks, the trigger won’t reset. When you cock the gun, the piston does not catch the sear because the sear is not in its proper position. I have had several do this. Remove the trigger unit and you will see one of the loops on the end of...

Sheridan Am I now an honorary American?

The plastic piece is for protection of the barrel finish while holding it and cocking from the receiver.

Sheridan Am I now an honorary American?

I think it’s actually about of the late 60’s or early 70’s. Probably 70’s.

Sheridan Sheridan/Benjamin/Crosman rear sight removal and installation

It’s important to know that the rear sight on Sheridan/Benjamin/Crosman pumpers that are pressed on with shims that are putting pressure against the soldier joint between the receiver tube and barrel. Add a scope with a Sheridan or Buck Rail mount and more pressure is added. Soldier joints can...

Sheridan Sheridan/Benjamin/Crosman rear sight removal and installation

The drill bits won’t scratch the barrel, they never moved. To lazy and tired of trips to the hardware store. Tiny Allen wrenches cut off will also work. I have a drawer full of those. Anything small and firm will work. What concerned me was a metal to soft like a nail. It could take a bend...

Sheridan Sheridan/Benjamin/Crosman rear sight removal and installation

I thought I would make a new post for this because my solution was buried in the end of a post I made asking for ideas. After asking and looking online, I found only solutions that meant beating the sight off with a hammer in one way or another. Not a good idea for a soldier joint. At least to...

    Sheridan Sheridan/Benjamin/Crosman rear sight removal

After looking online, I found only solutions that meant beating the sight off with a hammer. Not a good idea for a soldier joint. At least to me. So, I came up with this solution. Two identical tiny drill bits and one Buck Rail mount. Could use the Sheridan mount or make a stop out of wood...

    Sheridan Sheridan/Benjamin/Crosman rear sight removal

I have in the past removed the rear sight on Sheridans. Always make me nervous because they are really pressed on. Easy to damage the finish or worse, break the soldier joint holding the barrel to the receiver. I’m wondering if any of you have a slick and safe way to remove the rear sight that I...

    N/A Bye Bye Scopes!

When I was a young man, (I’ll be 69 soon) a half century ago, my vision was 20/10 in each eye. I recently had Cataract surgery. I opted for a lens called a LAL. Light Adjustable Lens. Pricey devils. 8K to be exact. My vision in my dominant eye (left) is now 20/15. My right eye lens was adjusted...

    HW/Weihrauch Stippling a 97K factory stock..

Sorry. I wasn't very clear. I didn’t mean to get the checkering to any type of sharpness. Just enough to lose the pressed look.

With a checkering “clean up” tool, you could deepen and make the current stamped checkering feel and look like hand checkering. Fairly easy using the old as a guide. Borrowed picture.
