Yup, you are correct, I was wrong!

HW/Weihrauch Weihrauch open sights, what is this?

Those are front sight hoods for the earlier type Weihrauch blade sight, very hard to find, good for you!

    FWB FWB 124D & Standard

I'm not sure what this is, but JM himself said it's one of his DIY stocks: what do you folks think? Interestingly the 124 is an I believe seldom seen very late Beeman stamped with "Santa Rosa" address! These came with a specific-to-FWB-dovetail Williams peep, but this one just has the standard...

HW/Weihrauch Never say I'm done buying airguns.

That is a Mk1 with 25mm piston and without ABT. I wonder if the hood is original? The front sight blade is non removable; please don't try to substitute a later type. The front sight is grooved to accept the hood on all the Mk1, but it must be rare if it is original...NICE airgun! It may be a...

FWB Piston rings and piston buffers?

On spring piston airguns like FWB150-300S that has both a metal piston ring AND a piston seal, does the metal ring act as automotive compression piston rings, and the piston seal just provide "buffering" to prevent the piston from slamming into the compression chamber face? Also, on airguns...

    HW/Weihrauch Show your carbine springers!

Here's a .20 with a short barrel? Hard to cock....this has an interesting scope, an RWS marketed "Elite 500" that was made by Hakko. It's the same as the Beeman scopes, but without the blue ring bling. I think it's period correct to the gun, but not sure. (Edit from 12/19: Also, I'm not sure if...

    HW/Weihrauch HW35 Auction find

I've a hunch that there are "special order" guns! Here's a common FWB300S Match from Beeman's collection with a stock that's just too good for the gun?

    The Tyro Show!

I read somewhere that the Tyrol stock were designed to be used with "open" or diopter sights, and not with a scope. Is this true, and does it make any difference? Also, and FWIW, you can always tell a factory Weihrauch/Walther/Anschutz T stock from an aftermarket T stock, ususally a CS/Custom...

    HW/Weihrauch HW35 Auction find

These are some of the most beautiful airguns I have ever seen, and I wonder if they were some sort of special order? Did Weihrauch have some type of program to sell select examples at extra cost? I remember that DMM has a FWB300T that has a particularly beautiful stock too.

Three FWB 110, mid and late '60's versions, and a Daisy.

    HW/Weihrauch HW35 Auction find

...maybe just a broken spring, and that's why the gun was never used? The front arrestor hole is wallowed out (?) and the gun maybe once had a Weihrauch diopter in place?..very nice old HW35!

    Other Interesting diopters...

Yes, the Bulgarian sight looks influenced by the Walther steel airgun sight, maybe the "robust" coming from the Russian designs of that era? Note the assembly numbers "23", hand machined and fit? What is the purpose of the non threaded hole drilled in the base of the very early Weihrauch sight base?

HW/Weihrauch Weihrauch HW77K Venom Lazaglide Tyrolean

You have an interesting gun there, and if you notice the breech slide is dark, just like in the OP's HW77 Lazerglide. That's often seen on Venom reworked guns, where the British refer to it a "blackened". We would call it "blued", and of course anyone could do that, but are your sure that your...

HW/Weihrauch Weihrauch HW77K Venom Lazaglide Tyrolean

I'm not sure? I think that's a standard optional and desirable Weihrauch T stock. Here's a photo of a Venom Hunter stock. Note the little "schnauble" device on the front? That sure is a nice Lazerglide gun, and surly legit too!

    Other Interesting diopters...

I never noticed that, but I think you are right! Here's another oddball, an Anschutz 6702 modified by Karl Kenyon, a now passed gunsmith, for prone shooting. The Win Model 52 and Anschutz Mod 54 folks will verify, but I think he had a good reputation for match rifle triggers?
