Yes I will be going with the MMHF barrel. I've tried many pellets and velocity combo's, have made sure the barrel was clean, all screws tight, and nothing has been better than about a 2" group at 35yrds (well below what I find acceptable). The barrel diameter seems to be way too big, I've tried...

Another issue I see come up is whether or not to let the barrel/shroud float or to use something like an o-ring to fix it to the barrel band. I've tried both and using an o-ring seems to improve accuracy. I will be ordering a new barrel soon myself, as all other attempts to improve my .22...

Wager, I'm finding the same thing which led me to believe the indicator line was wrong or that there was something wrong with the regulator. At 110 bar, the regulator seems to be spot on, as I approach 150 bar, the pressure seems to be closer to 170 bar as indicated by the air gauge.........

Hope I'm not missing something obvious with this and that its not an entirely stupid question...... but how do you set the bar pressure on the regulator. Does the notch in the top brass fitting point to the bar? If so, this is set to about 130 bar I'm assuming.........

When I bought the R9 almost 20 years ago they recommended the BSA Contender, it looked pretty impressive but overall was not a good scope for me and didn't last too long. Any opinions on the Hawke Sport Optics Varmint SF 3-12x44mm? Its a little more than I want to spend but I really like its 1/2...

I knew I shouldn't have but thought I would give this $60 scope a try...... I put a tasco varmint 2.5-10 x 42 on my Beeman R9 and the dang thing lasted about 300 shots. It no longer holds zero, reticles migrate lower and lower with each shot. Turrets no longer correct 1/4" MOA at 100yds but...

What exactly happens when a scope loses zero? I know the POI is inconsistent/ changes and that the reticle no longer points to the same place, but what actually "breaks" in the scope? Is this a turret problem, a lens problem? Can it be fixed? Walt

Is there any identifying information on the tin that lets you know if they are the thin skirt/ thick skirt versions? Sounds to me like every pellet in a tin is either one or the other or do they vary within the tins too?

My Beeman R9 won't latch open. I've shot thousands of pellets with the rifle with no problems and now literally between shots it has stopped latching. I see nothing broken or loose, it simply will not latch. Has anyone else had this happen, how do I fix it? Thanks
