I only have the HW45 in .22. I love this gun and have several thousand rounds through it. Use it in my garage and I find it very quiet. If you do any powder burners like .45, .40 or 9mm you would be hard pressed to even notice if the HW45 has any recoil. I don’t notice it.

I bought a Sun Optics spring compressor several years ago for about $75 as I remember. It has been great for everything from R1 to HW45. Removing pins I usually take a roll of my blue painters tape and lay the part across it.

If interested the two spreadsheets are for my R7 and HW30s. The HW30s was new with 100 rounds thru it when I put in the Vortek kit (not HO)with their Vac seal. The R7 had quite a few rounds thru it when I put in an ARH kit with a Vortek Vac seal.

My favorite 2 rifles! Enjoy! I may have to put a peep sight on my R7 or HW30s. Never tried one!

If you can find a nice used HW30 or R7 that would definitely be the way to go. If you decide on a new HW30, Krale is probably the least expensive.

My R7 and HW30s both prefer the 7.33 JSBs.

Again, depending on the rifle, Vortek has kits that both tame the spring noise and usually add some fps.

They sent me a text saying there was a mistake from the supplier and unfortunately all guns received were HW45 and not HW75. They are in the process of issuing a refund.

Oh well. We tried. Refund coming wrong guns available.

I received a response from Mundilar saying they are refunding the VAT charged. Makes a good deal even better. Mine is at the same status.

I agree from all I’ve read. The pure purpose of my HW75 is garage use at 25 feet. I shoot 1911 .45’s at the range. Recoil is a non issue for me. Simply having the weight and practicing trigger pull during those winter months is what I was looking for.
