    FX Impact bottle expiration?

Extendable to 30 years. But not really worth the price & hassle, IMO.

    draining the coolant tank question?

Thought so, just making sure before I ask... what do you use in place of DW?

    draining the coolant tank question?

    You do not, WHAT, exactly?

    draining the coolant tank question?

You DO use distilled water, just not PURE DW. Throw in some Water Wetter to lubricate and reduce corrosion. Do not use tap water nor well water.

    CS4, hands down.

Perhaps you "haven't yet", but you will see the dark grease coming out. It has to, as the air line is the ONLY place it can go. I took mine apart the day I got it. The engineer in me wanted to see "what makes this tick?". And I shared it so others wouldn't have to do the same...

The grease is too viscuous to be sucked into the piston, hence the turning of the grease pot knob. The cylinder assembly is sealed at top and bottom, so no, grease cannot get to the crank bearings; these must be lubed by hand. Having had mine apart on day one, there is enough grease on them to...

    GX CS4

GX says after the grease pot runs out, no further lube is necessary. But I will probably keep lubing mine. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CBYLRSR7 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09M91VXTF Anything that is food safe is safe for your compressor. Do NOT use petroleum-based grease.

Theoretically you COULD, but I wouldn't recommend it, and I certainly wouldn't do it until I talked to Jason if I had my mind set on trying it. 5800 psi / 400 bar is the MAX pressure, not the working pressure. You'd have to replace the burst disc for one thing. From their CS4 description...

First of all, 6 X 1/4 turns = 1.5 turns, and that is too much grease according to GX Official. Also, the piston doesn't "suck the grease in" until the grease is pushed thru the hole by the grease knob. (Unless you allow the grease to get so hot it melts, of course.) As long as you don't...

    GX CS4

Kind of, but not really. When you twist the knob (assuming there is no large air gap), you are pushing grease into the little hole, which then allows the piston to draw the grease in. As soon as stasis is reached, no more grease is "pulled" into the cylinder. Depending on the unit, GX...

    GX CS4 Overheating issue

Yeah, that is definitely too hot. My motor got up to 152°, but my coolant topped out around 113.2° after a 57 minute run. (Temps are Ambient, Coolant, Head, and Motor from top to bottom). Start: Finish:

    GX CS4 Overheating issue

Fresh air is drawn in from the back, passes over the cylinder and motor, pulled thru the radiator, and exhausted out the front of the machine. Do what they tell ya and disconnect the temp sensor and see what happens. If it is tripping early (lower temp), that could be an issue. But unless you...

    Looking for a burst disc

Look at the numbers on the burst disc, it will tell ya. Likely 7,500 psi since the norm for a burst disc is 5/3 of working pressure.

GX CS4 grease pot and burst disc ports

Flushing the water several times is good. I probably pumped more than a gallon thru mine before it ran clear. Regardless of how well it was flowing after you flushed it, I'd verify water flow every time I turned it on (hence my adding LEDs to make it easy to see). Take your grease pot out...

GX CS4 grease pot and burst disc ports

Water will settle to the bottom of the hole, and air will rise to the top regardless of position. As long as one "burps" the bleed valve from time time time (I do every 15-20 minutes), you'll never have enough water accumulation so as to push it into the gun or tank.
